Very nice for the money
Course is in great shape staff is very friendly and for the money one of the best values in the area.
Azalea City
This is a great municipal course. Very inexpensive. Fairways are in great shape. Greens are sandy but roll true.
Tale of two nines.
The front nine is nothing special but the back nine was really nice.
The greens were really fast and tough. Made for a challenging put.
Traditional old type course
Fun, good for walking in cooler weather, greens and fairways in good shape
Great course
Fairways and greens in great shape, I thought the greens were fast for a public course and very smooth
Good day playing golf
The course has been around since the 50’s up and down some hills lined with tall pine trees large sand traps presents a nice challenge three sets of tees for your ability level. Most fairways are pretty wide and greens are large and in good shape. Had been sanded but ball still rolled true after about a week of wattering they should be great. Really enjoyed playing this course and will play again well worth the money
Golf outing azalea city golf course
Very nice course built in late 50’s I think pretty wide open fairways lots of tall pine trees some really long par 4’s very challenging enjoyed it very much and will return soon
Great course. It is well kept.
The course is well kept and the pace is good. You do need to call and make sure there is not tournament going on for that day.
Best ball fun
We had a great time and were impressed with this course! We will be back.
Course was once a regular stop for the PGA Tour and hosted the "Mobile Sertoma Open" one which was won by Arnold Palmer !!!
We waited every shot from the third through the eighteenth holes while following a foursome when there were three open holes in front of them.
Hot good deal
Coarse is still rough in the fairways not in great shape greens were very good but hotdeal was a good value
April Friday
Outstanding course I will recommend to friends and family very challenging and staff outstanding played from the whites tee's and the course was still long
Azalea City playing firm and fast
Azalea City is a hardscrabble muni that is currently playing like a West Texas track, thanks to a drought.
This parkland course is somewhat narrow thanks to tree-lined fairways. However, the dry conditions that make 100-yard rollouts with driver off the tee, make the fairways seem narrower. Drives that seem perfectly placed can roll through the fairway.
Fairways are extremely thin.
The greens are small and many are pitched severely from back to front, making remaining below the hole on approach shots an absolute must. Greens rolling good.
Be aware if you are playing from or near the tree line... there are a lot of exposed tree roots and some just below the surface so be cognizant of playing from these areas to avoid injury.
Bunkers were pretty solid and consistent.
Yardage guide for sale in the clubhouse ($7) is worth it, especially for first-timers. You cannot see small ponds that come into play on both par 5s on the back on approach.
The driving range here is top notch with a flat tee and a wide berth. Good short game areas as well.
Good day for golf
The course was in good shape and the pace of play was great. Overall a very enjoyable day of golf.
