Stripe Show Golf Club
About
The golf course at Stripe Show Golf Club (previously known as Freedom Golf Course) is a walker-friendly and affordable venue for juniors, beginners and experienced golfers in search of a pleasant round. The executive length course has a risk-and-reward layout for an interesting game. This course may be short but there are several challenging elements. Situated on a terrain of rolling hills, golfers can expect uneven lies and elevation changes adding some interesting elements to the course. Water hazards come into play on several holes and there are strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course as well. Stripe Show Golf Club is well maintained with plenty of nice, shady areas.

The Stripe
First time on course. ...keep golf ball straight and you will have fun on this course. Great value for the money Surprised by the layout for a nine hole course it is walking only ..good exercise for any playing level ..Will recommend this course to any golfer ...cannot beat their value for the money.
Work in progress
This cute little 3 bar is nestled among trees and around ponds beautifully. I hope these guys can continue to make improvements in converting an old disk golf course into into a playable executive golf course. With water, mowing and a little TLC, this is a neighborhood course on the rise.
Very little grass
I was told that they are attempt to bring the course back. There is no grass on the tee boxes and very little else where.. I will go back once there is grass
Very poor condition .. not maintained , garbage in some areas.. no markings for direction
Staff was very friendly and explained under new management. The property has great potential but need investment of money and staff. Currently the whole area is in Very poor condition .. not maintained , garbage in some areas.. no markings for direction .
Broken irrigation everywhere. Outdoor seating needs repair and paint..
Note.. photos advertising this golf course are very outdated and deceiving!
Stripe Show Golf course
This little course has lots of potential, but needs much better maintenance.
Great bones, but poor conditions
Stripe Show would be a fantastic 9-hole golf course in Mesa, if it was in good condition. It has some great contours, lots of trees, and plenty of water on the track. But, the tee boxes and especially the greens need a lot of work.
Stripe show
Excellent challenge and the layout is very well laid out.
The course is improving by the week!
Stripe show seems to be a passion project run by a small staff that have done a great job with everything so far. The 9-home course definitely feels like a work in progress, but after playing here several times I have been surprised to see how much it’s improved between each round. The best part is the layout, they’ve done an excellent job making a short course moderately challenging with a really creative design that’s fun to play.
Pros:
- great layout
- driving range and large practice area
- friendly, passionate staff
- walkable, only need about 4 clubs
Cons:
- the greens that are finished play really well, but most are still in the works
- some old concrete paths and parts of the old facility are falling apart and haven’t been modified or removed yet
I will definitely be working on my short game here regularly!
Great golfing days after 3rd time played improvements continue
After 3rd time playing, improvements continue. Still very laid out with just the right amount of challenges! Great course to improve your skill level.
Loved it
It’s a really fun course and the staff was awesome. The only place in town that you can play 18 holes for 15 bucks. Well worth it.
Great place for beginners!
This course is great for working on your short game and if you know someone who never played golf before and wants to give it try, this course would be great for them and you can't beat the price $15 bucks. The course is under new ownership and it is a work in progress course but for the price you can't complain, give them time to get it together. We will definitely go back!
World’s Worst Course
Mud instead of grass, weeds instead of greens, rocks instead of fairways…. Could not be a lower quality course. Getting a bucket of balls at the driving range is a better use of your money. Greens were basically concrete with weeds, so putting was a joke. Course was incredibly short. Don’t have golf carts to rent, just push ones. Weird raised tee boxes with small squares of “grass” to hit off of. Not worth ANY time or ANY money. This course has truly done it and deserves the title of World’s Worst Golf Course!
