Peaks at Tonto Verde Golf Club
About
The Tonto Verde Golf Club offers two uniquely testing 18-hole championship golf courses, each featuring marvelous vistas, smack dab in the middle of the Arizona desert, which have earned honors for their design and playability. The golf courses were designed by David Graham and Gary Panks, who kept the features created by nature when they put together the Peaks golf course, which measures 6,744 yards.
The two golf courses at the Tonto Verde Golf Club feature desert-style target-golf designs, but the designers ensured that golfers of all levels would be able to play them.
The Peaks golf course at the Tonto Verde Golf Club is laid out shorter and skinnier from the tees than its sibling, the Ranch golf course; however, it doesn't offer any less of a challenge for golfers of all levels.

Tonto verde
GREAT course! Wonderful staff and super conditions on the course!
Worth the Drive
Really good condition despite just opening after overseeding. No complaints...just a long drive to get out there.
Worth the drive.
Played the Tonto Verde Peaks course on Tuesday, October 24th, under absolutely perfect conditions. The course was is great shape and the weather was outstanding. This specific course is located in the east valley that I personally think is the most scenic in the Phoenix area. Several holes made a postcard picture of the 4 Peaks Mountain range that was in the distance. The course is challenging as there are several forced carries off of the tee box to fairways that from the tee box, seemed very tight. That said, most of the fairways did have ample landing room but you really cannot see that from the tee box. The greens were in great shape and were mostly easy to read the break. The course had recently gone through the overseeing process thus is was lush and green and provided a perfect surface to hit from. Overall, it was a great experience and would highly recommend making the drive.
Great course
Had played the Ranch course earlier this year and got an opportunity to play the Peaks course. Course came out of overseeding on October 1 and is in excellent condition from tee to green. Greens were still a little hard and average speed. All in all a great course that is worth the drivel to north of Fountain Hills. Got a great hot deal on Golf Now
Excellent day for golf- weather, pace of play, condition of the course was beautiful. It was cart path only, but very do-able.
good course
course was dried out a bit as overseeding is coming up....pace of play was great..pretty light for a saturday. greens were fast but again because overseeding is next week and they are letting it dry out....
GREAT Course
Tonto Verde is ALWAYS in GREAT condition! The staff is ALWAYS willing to please the golfers. The course itself is fun to play and a please to play!
Great golf course
2 great golf courses. Great practice facility and excellent clubhouse.
Wasn't happy with the experience this time.
Pace was extremely slow and the people behind us continually hit into us. Otherwise it is a great course and always has been. I've never played here near or during the "season". If that is what it's like from now until next June, I won't be back.
GREAT Golf Course
Tonto Verde is a great course to play. The staff ALWAYS make the golfer WELCOME! The course is ALWAYS in GREAT condition! It is course that is well worth becoming a member.
If you do not play this course...YOU are missing out of playing a beautiful course.
Very Nice
Played the Peaks course on August 25th. The course was in great shape. Great views. Staff was friendly and helpful. Driving range was great, not beat up.
The only negative comment I have is they don't have enough water stations on the course. This is the desert in August. Should have water every 3 holes. Only had water on the 7th and 14th plus the start and turn. They offer you multiple cups of water at the start but how many can you put on the cart. For this reason I would not play again in the summer.
Great conditions
This course is a ways out but worth the drive. Staff was friendly and course in fantastic condition for summer in Az. Best value in the valley hands down!
fun layout
first time here and was def worth the trip. would have been even better if a cart person was on the course. however, the staff i encountered were all friendly and accommodating. the course was in terrific shape for mid august and a fun layout
