The course at the Orange Tree Golf Resort provides an excellent game of golf in a luxurious setting. The Parkland-style layout features fairways lined with mature trees, which not only enhance the natural beauty of the golf course but can also greatly affect shots. Four lakes are situated on the flat terrain of the course, providing water hazards that come into play on five holes. Sand bunkers also surround every green. Orange Tree Golf Resort's course finishes with its signature hole, where water cuts into the fairway and proceeds to run down the left side all the way to the green. It also requires accuracy on the approach shot in order to hit the small putting surface that is surrounded by tricky elements.

Good but not great

Course was in decent but not great condition, with most tee boxes pretty rough, and greens with much goose poop. Pace of play was slow, but I’m thinking this may have been more of an exception to the norm.

All in all, it was a good day at Orange Tree. Will hopefully return and play again.

Lots of geese

Old Parkland style course. Very flat. Greens had some interesting contours. Lots of goose poop to contend with.

Traveler

Orange Tree Golf Course could be so much better with some time and effort to maintain and update. Tee boxes are a mess - uneven and patchy. Fairways are mostly kept. Greens are not well managed...lots of healing needed as they are patchy at best. All of the beautiful homes around the course helps with the fact it's an easy track...slope rating is not difficult so good for a resort to make playable. Quality Details is the key.

Great time

Super fun course, great pace of play, two of us played 18 in 3 hours and 15 minutes and I wasn’t playing well. Played Stonecreek the day before which was double the price of Orange Tree and 18 took 5+ hours. Will never go back there but will definitely return to Orange Tree!

On a hot deal it’s a great track

Had a family golf day and have to say the track was just above average but really enjoyed the facility and the staff was super friendly and pace of play was excellent.

Not a $150 course

The course was ok, but I saved it for the last course in my trip and it was not worth the price. The grass was dormant on a significant portion of the course. The bunkers were not maintained. It is an ok course and worth a play but not above $90.

Amazing staff

Can’t complain too much, but in from Canada where we’re not golfing right now. I know it’s peak season and the prices are way above average.

All in all, decent little track.

A Golf "Resort"?

For about 3-4 years, I sent an email with strong criticism of the bunkers--hard-packed "clay" type. Playing yesterday, it's apparent OT has done a lot of work on the bunkers, but not enough, as in several, there appeared to be just a few inches of (now) sand, which resulted in skulled shots.

While OT is obviously trying to make good improvements, such as actual tee box markers rather than the pieces of wood in years past and new signage... the greens and tee boxes themselves need a lot of work, especially the greens, which are old, spotty, and inconsistent. Most of the tee boxes are cambered or uneven, which creates up or downhill shots. Again, anyone, especially someone who is a first-time "Resort" player or even the average golfer, will be greatly disappointed in playing conditions.

Finally, player services must ensure the sand bottles and the drinking water on the course are filled.
