Ok 9 hole course but could be better
Nice to have a 9 hole course. Could be better if Practice range didn’t use just mats. Plus the range doesn’t open til 7:30 or when maintenance is done.
It has been cart path only whenever we played which isn’t convenient.
We decided to play another round of 9 after completing our first 9 and was surprised to be charged full price. Other courses have given us a reduced price.
Fun course, but has been over watered
Love this course although the past 2 times playing it was wet. So much so that I had mud caked on the bottom of my golf shoes at the end.. Mentioned this to the cart folks as well. Still, really enjoy this course.
Very good test
This is a very nice par 3 course. You will use most of the irons in your bag. It is plenty challenging both due to length, traps, hills around greens and the green slopes. We will return for sure.
The Mulligan in Scottsdale
Fun par 3 course. We finished the 9 hole is 75 minutes!
Non-challenging quick course
Great for beginning players but also a great little course for a quick 9 to dial in your short game. A little expense for 9 holes but it's Arizona in the winter. Everything is expensive.
SweetP’s Fave
I have always loved Starfire, but, I grew up on the course, when it was known as Scottsdale country club. It’s a beautiful course in a gorgeous location, nothing better, but then I’m partial!
Nice Executive Course…
A great course for novices or anyone wanting to hone their short game. It was well maintained and had a good mixture of hole lengths and water hazards.
Slightly better than average…
9 hole courses that mix carts and walkers often wind up with upset senior yelling at others to speed up. This was the case today. We had a very rude pair of senior women yelling at my wife and I. We were backed up 2 parties deep at each hole due to walking groups vs cart groups. Nevertheless we tried to make the best of a bad situation. The course was in great condition. Decent layout but we were nearly hit by Helga and Gertrude while waiting to tee off at a box placed in a blind spot near the previous green. Restaurant staff weren’t very friendly, and the cart attendant wanted to talk to us about Jesus Christ. We would like to try it again but definitely not in the AM. Be on the lookout for Helga and Gertrude!
Good learner course
This course has been great for me to get to know the game. I’ve used it as a starter course for myself and my gf. There’s some challenging par 3s and solid par 4 that is always a challenge. Course is well maintained and staff is friendly. It’s asking a lot but Could use a bev cart on the mulligan 9.
