Quarry Pines Golf Club

I like most everything about Quarry Pines except there is a problem with pace of play. My last three rounds there was at least a 10 minute wait almost every hole.

For the money, this course is hard to beat in the Tuscon area. Excellent conditions and beautiful scenery with a challenging layout. No driving range is a downer and no on course beverage service was disappointing, but those things are overshadowed by the positives already mentioned. Pace of play was a little slow on the back nine.

Definitely worth playing. My only complaint is that the sand traps are lacking sand. There is more dirt than sand.

Course was very busy, so play was extremely slow. Need a marshal.

Course in excellent shape, front nine was pleasant with challenges, but I thought the back 9 was too difficult, requiring perfect shots throughout and slowing down play. It took some of the enjoyment out of my round.

Tee times were behind 15 minuets to start and th round took 4 hours and 45 minutes to play. No ranger on course to speed up play. I don't think I would go back.

The course is in excellent condition with 3" rough. As always, there's ample opportunity to lose golf balls on most holes. The traffic noise from Hwy 10 is a definite distraction for three of the front nine holes; while the lack of a driving range is also a deterrent to play.

Like playing this course annually..but
the need of course rangers to keep the pace of play enjoyable is desperately needed.

The front nine is a fun and enjoyable 9 holes, however the back nine is the most enjoyable, the awesome views , elevated tee decks, and long carries over waste areas are what make this course so enjoyable.
Can't wait to play again.
