Aggressive staff
Grounds keeper got rude and aggressive with my group because we got in the way of his play. Staff closes half the course every Monday afternoon for a scramble that they organize and play in. No range balls available on Monday mornings as well.
Course is actually looking better, but still in it’s infancy stage. The grounds crew have done excellent work on the greens but fairways are still sparse in areas. Only one person working in the clubhouse which can be frustrating if you are just trying to get a drink or food. Clubhouse has very few items to purchase (clubs, balls, etc). Overall, 6.5/10. But for the hot deal tee time, it’s worth it. Otherwise, still too expensive to justify condition of course.
This course is a work-in-progress that has potential and is being gradually upgraded maintained and improved is well-managed only thing that I have to complain about is that it is the lesser of the golf courses in this area and yet they keep raising the price me and my family in a mini of this that I know love this course because of its fair pricing makes for a great fun relaxed family gameplay great for beginners with the prices being you know jacked up it really has made me and my friends asked why why would we come here and pay this much money when we can go to a course that is much better in a lot more fun to play we're hoping that they can go back down the prices and just spend less expensive less than expenses on this course it doesn't have to be a hurricane course it doesn't have to be of that stature Lindsey management is well known all throughout Arkansas so I think it'll be okay if they just keep wood course in our local community that is Affordable for those who are less fortunate
Longhills
Great, convenient course. Awesome friendly staff. They have done a great job opening this course.
Nice for the price
Very friendly staff and course is kept up. Only bad thing was no water jugs on the course but other than that my new place to play
Unkept and overpriced
This course used to be a quality course about 5 years ago but since it has been bought by Lindsay it has gone downhill. The greens are covered in sand which make them practically unplayable. The fairways are okay and that’s putting it generously. You can hit a perfect drive in the middle of a fairway but be in a dirt patch full of rocks making it unplayable. They also recently upped the prices to over $40 on the weekends which is highway robbery for the quality of the course. Don’t waste your time or money just go to Little Rock.
Coming Along
Longhills GC would be difficult to walk as many tee boxes are far from the last green.
The greens are pretty good but many have foreign grass knots that do not appear to have been treated. The fairways are underdeveloped and needing some TLC. The grass is sparse and cut very short.
Carts and pro shop were fine. But, there is no food or grill available.
Overall, the course is OK but not as good a value as the many public courses in the LR area.
I’ll be back!
Wonderful staff, experience, and course, I will return again! Ed—the staff member who greeted and helped me—was more than friendly, accommodating, and helpful! The course was challenging and well-maintained. The pace of play was just about perfect, even on a busy day. Everybody was respectful of each other‘s time and play. Be ready for some challenging angles to the hole, but well worth the time if you are trying to improve your game. With friendly staff and a fun course, I can’t wait to get back there.
Awesome course, one of the staff needs help!
I always enjoy playing at this course. It’s got a great layout, it’s a lot of fun, and it’s got some challenge to it. I love it so much that I took my friend there who is a novice to the game. As a novice, it takes him a little longer to play. For most of the day, we were the only ones on the course. And no one was behind us, so I didn’t think that there was an issue with letting my friend take a little longer. Everything was fine until we went to turn in the cart at around 4:30 and the closing staff member came at us with a passive aggressive attitude, commenting that it took us 5 1/2 hours to finish the course, and just being an all-around jerk. I should’ve known he was going to be a problem because when we pulled up prior to playing and I mentioned that we may be the only ones playing because of the cold weather, he said “good, because I want to go home anyway.” I’m not sure why he doesn’t like his job, or what his definition of customer service is, but he may want to find a new job. He finally walked away and let us put our stuff away. It wasn’t even an issue of us being the last ones on the course, because somebody was behind us by a few holes at this point. I’ll go back to this golf course, but hopefully this guy isn’t there. The young man who works the counter is awesome, and Michael is great.
Will be playing here again!
I was the first person off for the day! Loved just playing. Finished in just under 2 hours and shot a 76. It is still improving but as good as many of the other public courses in the LR area and much less expensive and not crowded! The layout was good. Did not see any bunkers. Greens rolled well but did have dead dirt spots in them but the holes were cut to avoid them as much as possible. I liked it so much I booked it again for next week.
Keep your customers happy and think about getting less expensive membership
Keep the Customers happy and treat the young regulars well also less expensive limited membership would be nice .
Friendly staff and good value for the money.
For the money this was a good course to play. I will play here again in the future. A few of the holes can be quite challenging depending on pin placement.
Yardage markers
Very friendly staff. Lindsey management needs to put yardage markers up and repair so.e of the greens from the initial remodel. There is no way to tell how far you are from the green once you're off the Tee Box. The tee box markers are also wrong. Hole number 14 says 354 from tee box to center of the green and I drove the ball almost off the back of the green.
Great staff
The staff at long hills is better than that of a PGA course!! Me and my buddy's enjoy playing at long hills multiple times a week and every Sunday!
Extremely friendly staff. Grounds crew works hard to keep the course maintained.
Longhills
I play there probably 4 times a week and i love the course. The staff is amazing and they even have a teenager who knows how to run the entire place and probably would if he had to. I think that this course is getting much better as the time progresses. I have been told they are thinking about holding a stroke play event as a club championship soon may want to call and figure out what that is about.
Enjoyable
Greens are slow due to the newness of them. Think they are 9 months old. Hoping to continue to get better, cut, faster. Some tee boxes could use some softening as hard to get tee in the ground. It appears work is in progress for improvements.
You are talking about Longhills Golf course right...
The course gets worse by the day. The entire staff only seems to be good at sitting on their butts because that's all you see when you walk in. Me and my wife were told to wait a minute by an old man watching tv. He made us wait until a commercial came on before he would help us, then he said we couldn't go out because the course was about to close. (It was 12:00 and sunny)
We came back a week later trying to hit a couple range balls, but they were out...
What kind of a golf course runs out of range balls.
