Enjoyed Eagle Glen
I played the course for the first time as I was visiting on vacation. The course was in good shape and layout is very nice. The views of the surrounding mountains/hills were awesome. I played with some locals who gave me tips as we played the course. They had two beverage carts who came by three times during the round. Very good course amenities. The only negative was pace of play was slow at 4 hrs and 50 minutes. I enjoyed the course and would play it again.
TLC
Some things need TLC like the tees. They are awful. The worst I've seen but the rest of the course is good.
Great layout, slow pace
Starter was 5-star friendly and pleasant.
Dry patches all over the course. 5-hour pace.
Greens, while mostly in great shape, needed one more cut. Great layout, however, and fun to play. Appreciative of the free cold water bottles.
Great round
Carts restricted to cart path on several holes snd carts restricted by GPS. Greens in great condition, no water restrictions.
Eagle Glen
The staff and course layout are excellent. I was a single paired with a veteran player of the course so I got some very valuable tips from a course management perspective. I was a bit surprised to find several very wet spots on the course and a few holes were 'cart path only'. The elevation changes on the course are pretty amazing. I would highly recommend the Eagle Glen venue, especially for lower handicap players as the forced carry on some holes can be daunting. Overall, I am quite happy with my golfing experience and look forward to returning to Eagle Glen in the near future.
For a course that is trying to get back to being perfect it is in good shape. You can tell that they are working on it and it will be there soon. I will make sure i play it when i come back in town.
Almost a perfect round
Tee boxes need a lot of work but not a deal breaker. Fairways in some areas were brown or bare. Greens were above average. Beverage girl was spot on. But the pace of play for a Monday morning (8:50 start time) was horrible. The 4some in front of us had no business playing from the blue tees. We had to wait on every hole once we caught up to them by the 3rd hole..waiting in 100 degree heat is torture. The Marshall needs to step up his game.
