COME PLAY HERE
For this time of year this course is great. Tee boxes look good, fairways are Solid, and rough is changed over in color. Bunkers played well and the greens rolled good. Glen Ivy you can tell does not overseed. The greens that are always in question by everyone these days are playing well people. The back 9 is gorgeous and the views are perfect. These guys have been improving this course over the year and it shows. Pro Shop guy who I think is the Head Pro was awesome and always has a great attitude, did not eat any food so no review, seen no bev cart on the course but the Marshall guy I seen a few times and the outside guy was good. I think the only negative thing I see is that practice putting green and driving range eeeeeek… seems as they improved the course those two were neglected. It would be nice to come up and practice.
Great day in Corona!
My group wanted to get away and play a new course. We had a great day and walked away truly impressed with Glen Ivy. Will definitely return to play.
Andy
Very good course, the turfs are one of best in the area, great views on the back 9…..
Fix the greens
Don’t spend a penny over $30 for this place. I don’t like to post reviews but fix the greens asap
Great layout and views.
After seeing all the bad reviews, I decided to check out for myself.
Yes greens in the front 9 are in terrible shape, the back greens are better but some still need some work.
All other areas of the the course were in great shape. The course should be more upfront about the greens and give big discounts because of this. I think reviews would not be as bad as long as you know what your in for.
What happened?
Arrived to signage that three greens were under repair, but I would guess that at least 13 greens were unplayable. Extremely dead with holes and bare spots everywhere.
The tee boxes were fair, the fairways and sand traps were in good condition, but not worth the $35 they charge HOA members, and an absolute ripoff for the $61 they charged me.
This will not be solved soon, so I am crossing them off the list of one of my favorites until I hear otherwise.
So much Potential
I really love the layout and amenities this place offers. It’s a beautiful course but man does it have some of the worst greens I have ever seen on a course. #5 #7 #10 are unplayable and at least 3 other holes have some patchiness or something on the green that you’d want to move your ball for. It’s been like this since 2020 and I thought the recent management change would result in some change but I have yet to see that with the conditions. All that to say, the rest of the course is in solid shape & the views are awesome. Its not worth the current rates right now.. I wouldn’t pay more than $35 but in top shape, this can easily be a $70-$90 course.
Quit Crying
I read a lot of these reviews and do people live in reality? This is not the PGA Tour and you are not going to get Pebble Beach when you play. Yes! These guys have some greens with issues. 6 greens? People come on here to exaggerate. Boxes-excellent, fairways excellent, rough excellent bunkers excellent, pro shop and guys outside excellent, views I mean the best. Id say they have 4 greens with issues, there are a couple with spots and thats if you are hard pressed to look. The back side of the course except for 10 I think is beautiful shape. People rant and complain. There are gonna be plush times and down times. Roll the rollercoaster. Keep pushing Glen Ivy and dont listen to these up tight people who probably shot a 100 and complain.
Very nice to play for all levels of players. Tee boxes, fairways n greens were very well maintenance, will continue to play here.
Greens are unplayable
Played twilight for 40 bucks thought it would be a good deal. The greens are in such bad shape most of them are unplayable. Sanded over, missing grass, crabgrass on green. Sad because rest of course is really well maintained. This place has so much potential if it fixed their greens.
Overall in very good condition
We haven’t played this course in almost a year because of the condition of the greens. We tried it again- and overall the course was in very good condition. Fairways have very few bald spots. Bunkers are pretty consistent. A few of their greens are still struggling- but overall nice shape.
Our only issue was the snack bar at the turn. The GPS advises you to call the snack bar on Hole 7 to order. We tried three separate times to call- no one ever answered. When we arrived at the turn- no one was inside. We waited more than 5 minutes for the lady to show up. We ordered simple hot dogs- and waited an additional 15 minutes for our food. Because of our delay- we had to allow 2 other groups to pass us.
They need to fix this problem- especially when it’s over 100 degrees on the course !!!
