East at Orangebrook Country Club
About
There are two 18-hole golf courses available at Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood, the East and the West. Built in the 1930s, the East Course is the club's original layout. While its design may be more traditional, it is just as much of a challenge as the newer West Course. The East has fewer water hazards but there are large bunkers strategically placed throughout. There are some tricky holes included in the design but there are also many player-friendly features as well including wide-open fairways and generous landing areas. Players can get their practice in on the large, lighted driving range that has both distance markers and a practice bunker. Orangebrook C.C. offers not one but two player-friendly but challenging rounds, making it popular amongst locals for being one of the area's best values.

Nice staff & very good value for money.
Course could be in a little better shape but nice staff, value for money, forgiving fairways, n nice layout make up for it.
Poor maintenance
The course layout is appealing and has wonderful potential. However, poor maintenance is all over; the greens are spotty, lumpy and bare in places, the tee boxes are sandy and uneven, and the fairways are a mixture of rough grasses and open dirt areas. The golf now booking say it is booked but there must be numerous cancellations as there was many openings and single golfers - a clear mismanagement problem. Unfortunately conditions have not really changed over past few years. A disgrace to Hollywood.

No so good!
Last year I would have rated this a 4 star but this year I can't believe that in late February the greens are so bad. Some places have sand on the green, and I cannot believe they have the greens in so bad of shape this late in the season. I don't recommend it to anyone until they put their act together. Perhaps then I will up my ratings.

Depending on who is working you never really know what time you will be allowed to check in, who you will be playing with and sometimes what course you will be playing.
Good value poor conditions
The course (East) has a good layout. The course conditions is mostly bad. Because of the affordable price, many “non golfers” go there to have fun while pretending that they are playing, which delays a lot the pace of the game. So, if you plan to attend during the peak hours, be prepared for a very long game. They can manage better the crowds and also improve the maintenance.,
