They have 9 hole rates which is a plus. Course is in need of some TLC. They overcharged me so watch your wallet.

today was great for golf this course was challenging from hole one gotta hit flag but greens hard to hold I shot good round

The course has a nice layout, but there is a lot of water and the rough will not hold your ball. Had several rollers on the fairway that kept going into the "rough" which meant right down the slope into the water. I lost more golf balls here than I can ever remember losing in one round. Greens are in rough shape, but it is winter. Staff was nice. I'll go back.

the course needs some work but it was much better than last year. The layout is challenging. The price is unbeatable, so this is a good reason alone to play here.
Relatively speaking it is a bargain to play. It is fairly open and windy

Hans accused me of trying to play 9 for free. Once I showed the receipt he quickly back tracked and acted like he didn't say was gonna call the city manager on me. What a goofball.

Jax Beach golf course has had major problems with their greens, but they have improved significantly over the past few months.

Fun course. Trouble is avoidable if you play smart. For the convenience, price, it's a great place to play.

The employees here are really great! Very nice, friendly and considerate as they put us out early to get ahead of a group so that we played in slightly more than 3 hours.

Many of the greens have been lost due to fungus or mold. It will be months before they are back in pristine shape. Providing the greens keeper can do a better job of fixing what he let get away from him!!!

Course is terrible shape. No grass on greens throughout all holes. fairways not mowed and bare. Course is in terrible condition just 1 year after spending mucho dollars to upgrade. Do Not Recommend anyone waste that amount of tee time price for such a horrific round of golf! BuilderBob

Had an appointment cancel at last minute so I looked to see what was available with little time. This proved to be a big mistake. I had not played this course in several years, when the condition was pretty decent. Things have changed dramatically. This course does not qualify for a goat track or cow pasture. Both have grass!! If it were not for the dollar weed and every other kind of weed, I doubt you would see anything green. No wonder there were few golfers on the course.
I can honestly say that this probably rates as the worse conditioned course I have ever played. too bad because the layout is pretty good.

No pride in this course. Greens were terrible, fairways lacked attention, mosquitos everywhere!!! I enjoy playing a variety of courses when I travel but will not return or recommend this course.

The so called greens were horrible. They were painted green and were just sand. It was almost like you were putting on the cart path.

It was a good thing that we got a good deal on this course. I had not played this course in a while. When a friend of mine suggested this was because of the price he found on Golfnow, I said OK we will give it a chance. If I had paid full price, I would have asked for a refund. Greens were all top dressed with the blue/green fertilizer mix. Surprisingly they did roll better than expected. Weeds everywhere. The boxes were 50% sand covered. Very difficult to play

This course was horrible and looked like a war zone. I wouldn't recommend this course to anybody. Waste of time and money.

Check-in staff was a bit rude. The course was in the worst shape I have ever seen it in. Tee boxes were very sandy and we could not get good footing at all. The fairways were in horrible shape. It's not much fun when you hit your tee shot right down the center and don't have any grass to hit from. There was green stuff in the fairways, but not much of it was grass. And underneath was nothing but sand. The greens were rough and inconsistent. I have played much nicer courses in town recently for half the price. We won't be coming back here any time soon.

Greens are terrible!!!!!!

Jacksonville Beach Golf Club offers every level of golfer a fun challenge. It has an interesting mix of holes from a relaxing par 3 to Pete Dye type water holes. Accuracy is a factor on many of the shots, but there is always a "safe" shot if you want it. The course's greens are over seeded and have some winter kill, but overall, they put true with subtle breaks. Well worth the value for location, costs and friendly staff.

14 of the 18 holes have water. Course was in good condition. Staff was very friendly.
