Good layout
Course is in better shape under new superintendent. Greens are slow, but the layout is fun to play
THis course could use some attention
The course is laid out nicely and the staff was friendly and helpful. The fairways were ok but the greens were slow and patchy. Also needs better drainage. A lot of wet areas.
Florida Golf Experience
Mallards Landing was somewhat challenging but a really nice course to hone your skills. I enjoyed playing with 2 local guys who were very informative and was eager to give me the layout and landing safe zones of the course. Aside from being a little soggy from all the rain, it was still quiet an experience, I do intend to play it again over the next 2 weeks i'm here.
Good value for the money
Nice course for the money. Convenient and cozy, open fairways not much trouble to get into.
Nice course Mike Flynn Great Head Pro!!!
Like the course fairly level and challenging was in excellent shape tee to greens, but that was after I took 4 lessons with Mike Flynn, the stack & tilt crew sent me to him not only did he fix my swing he added monster yards,.I'm 55 and in good shape I was hitting my 5 iron 170 now I'm up to 205, my 7 iron was at 150 it's now at 170, my driver went from 230 to 260 with a nice draw. Also my last lesson we worked on chipping I cannot believe how easy he made it for me I am grouping chips like never before. Can't wait for my putting lesson.
wet condtions
the course was very wet and tore up from the carts. But we have been getting alot of rain in are area so I can understand why it was so bad. The greens were in good shape considering the rain.
Good improvement
The course has been improved a lot from the pass. It has drinking water every 3 holes through out the course and the green is must better compare to the past. It's green condition is average slow but put able. The fairway is ok and wide open so you can use driver or irons without worry OB.
Not a wise choice...
Over the past several months, this Course has steadily gone down hill, where it's to the point of not even being a good deal during their "Hot Times".
With so many other quality Courses in S. Brevard County, Mallards Landing is no longer a wise choice. Save your money on this one!
Fun course with some challenging holes
Overall a good bogey course for the average player
awful
No rangers ranging, just parked up in the shade, overbooked , we got to #1 (our #10),4 sets of players on the same hole,we left.
Similar to Lake Wales C.C..& Harder Hall C.C
11:52 tee time w/ wife for $19.61/ea thru Golfnow Hot Deal. Fun & challenging old style course w/ a bit of water along sides & a couple of forced carries over water. Tee boxes in decent shape. Fairways fairway plush. Huge greens rolling true & fast. Battery powered carts That don't have windshileds or rain cover in back so don't book on rainy days or bring your own windshield. Will definitely return to play again when in area.
The course is in terrible condition
The course is in the worst condition in years. Pace of play was incredibly slow.
the course is good for distance driving
Good course , greens could be cut lower made it very slow for putting , over all good experience.
Nice for a muni
enjoyed a nice 3 hour round. Some issues with the greens but pin placement helped minimize those issues. I'll go back.
A little better, I will come back
This course was in horrible condition just a few months ago and I swore to never come back. But between everyone else being solidly booked and a crazy cheap rate, we went ahead and booked it. Greens have improved greatly since last played but fairways still need a lot of help. All in all they have made strides and if I find another great rate I will be back.
Good for the price charged
The greens were fast and true. The fairways were a bit sparse in places. There seemed to be a lot of trash around the course, in the water and elsewhere.
Overall the $40 greens fees were fair considering the conditions.
No ranger - if there was we would have complained that the foursome in front of us usually played 2 balls each on most holes. Very inconsiderate that we were a twosome and waited on most holes. They never thought or indicated for us to play through. Some much for golf etiquette.
This course needs work.
The course is not in very good shape. Fairways have many thin and bare spots with little or no grass. Greens weren't any better. No winter overseeding, except maybe for tee boxes. And at $37 for 18 holes, not a very good value. The other municipal course is in much better shape.
Need a starter
They need a starter... Tooooo many twosomes going out and slowing up the course. Even a few singles out there. Pair up the twosomes and no way should a single be going out when everyone is waiting...
