Trump National Doral Miami - Silver Fox Course
About
The Silver Fox Course (formerly known as Jim McLean Course) is one of five 18-hole courses at Trump National Doral Miami. The courses offer a good game for players of any skill level. Unlike the Gold Course at the resort, the Silver Fox Course does not follow a traditional Floridian layout. There are elevated tee boxes and greens and narrow, rolling fairways. The golf course features an interesting variety of holes, short and long. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes of the 18 holes and there are also bunkers situated throughout. The course's signature hole is the 14th, which has an island green.

Very good experience
The course is in fantastic condition. Greens are in perfect shape, as are the fairways. A lot of water hazards, what makes the course beautiful and challenging, but not in a way that hurts your score. Impressive club house and pro shop. Friendly staff. Overall a great experience, Only negative was the valet parking. Not friendly and charged me US 32 for a 5 hour period. Better park your car yourself.
Very Good golf course
Very good golf course, narrow fairways and good layout! However if you are going to spend the money you might as well play Doral Red Tiger which is a lot more fun! Specially if you can hit bombs!
GREAT DAY AT THE BEST COURSE
Great day!
We had a great day, nice weather, nice layout and great service. The place is ultra clean and service just great. I would play there more often if it was owned by someone else. One thing is sure the people who run this place are doing a fantastic job!
Blue Monster Course Review
If the weather was as good in NJ as it is in Florida, I would have rather played a course in NJ everyday over the Blue Monster. Definitely, not worth the money. I paid about the same as you would to play Pebble Beach and that was a fantastic course. But hey, a day in the sun on a decent course always beats a cold day in the north without golf!
Awesome day at Trump Doral
Trump Doral is a beautiful layout, staff was friendly, course is in awesome shape. Hope to play there again in the very near future.
Update address for golf shop check in.
The address for check in should direct the customer to Trump National Doral on 87th Ave. Customers get confused and irate when they show up at the address you have indicated on your site only to find out that it’s incorrect.
Wrong address
The address should be Trump National Doral on 87th St. The address you have listed is incorrect.
Update the course address
The address should be the same as the Blue Monster.
Overpriced
This was my first time playing a trump golf course and it will be my last. I payed 175 for a morning t time on a Saturday. Showed up to the course and the staff were friendly and welcoming customer service was great over all. That conditions of the golf course were terrible. My local muni course is 45$ on a Saturday and it’s conditions are better. Fairways are brown. Tee boxes are too short and mostly sand. Greens are covered in sand anytime you hit a green you see a splash of sand. I have played some really beautiful courses before in Phoenix, Tucson, and Nashville and they all had me wanting to come back and play even tho they are expensive. However this was not worth it what so ever.
Great courses and options
We love Trump Doral. Nice courses and options. Our only issue is the cart spreed limit (too slow) and the cleanliness of the golf carts. Specially since we are still getting over a pandemics. They should be cleaner. But over all a great place to relax and play this amazing game.
Not worth the money
The Silver course is ok, the greens are in awful condition, nothing like the other three courses. Would never play again.
Worst Greens in Miami
I don't think I have ever written a review before, but the people must know. I have been playing the Trump Doral courses for 15 years and this is by far the worst condition I have ever seen the greens in. Tee to green was solid, but once you got to the green you might as well pick up your ball. Heavy amounts of sand as well as punch holes. Beyond this there were many areas under repair on the greens. This did not look like normal greens undergoing usual maintenance. I could tell that these greens have not been running well for months. The fact that the course happily takes your steep $170 for greens that are barely playable without warning is absolutely ridiculous. Without a doubt the Silver Fox has the worst greens in Miami right now, if not in all of South Florida. DO NOT spend all that money to play hear until its fixed. Better off playing the Red Tiger or Golden Palm. Everything about the resort is great, but course condition is awful.
Great Course but Terrible Greens
Played this course several times and always enjoyed it but today the condition of the greens was terrible after recent maintenance. Front 9 greens were especially poor. Bumpy, patchy and covered in sand with many poorly repaired areas. Disappointed that the condition of the course was not highlighted on website or by staff. Definitely not worth the green fee with greens in such poor condition.
Silver Course
- Doral is nice and rates via Golfnow make it somewhat affordable just realize you will have to pack your clubs to get from car to pro shop. There is no signage to get from bag drop to pro shop so ask someone to guide you Everytjinh else nice
