Melreese Golf Course at International Links
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 03/2023.
The Melreese golf course at International Links is where Tiger Woods made his first professional appearance in south Florida. The championship course, which has six sets of tees, features rolling fairways and large, undulating greens. It is a tight golf course featuring five lakes that come into play on 14 holes. To make up for the damages caused by Hurricane Andrew, the golf course has been outfitted with replanted tall live oak and palm trees that can affect shots. There are also nearly 100 sand bunkers present on the course. The Melreese course's signature hole is the par-4 14th, which is nicknamed "Heartbreak Ridge." It has water alongside the right side of the fairway all the way from the tee to the green, and it requires an approach shot past water to an island green. The International Links facility also offers a lighted driving range and putting green.

Not worth for your money
Very average course not worth the money you pay
Big huge airplanes fly by every five minutes as well as airport train on top of you every five minutes
Very busy traffic around the course
great day .
this is the best course in miami for the money , though
its not cheap its a great value . as nice as the surrounding courses at a lesser price .. staff is great
especially the cart girls (their awesome)
Great layout and conditions
We really enjoyed this course, layout was very nice and conditions were excellent, greens were very fast but true.
Pro shop could have been a bit more receptive when we arrived, girls in snack bar we very nice and looked after us.
Over all a great day out and if you can get a deal of golf now definitely worth the money.
Miami tee
Best greens I have ever played on a public course . After the front nine we had a downpour 3-4inches . 90 minutes later the course was ready to play. Impressive
Terrible customer service
Had a tee time at 7am. My
Guests forgot to bring "Proof of Resudency" and had to pay $200 instead of the regular $80. One of my guests is a regular customer at Melreese and he is in file but even him had to pay the Non Resident fee. He offered to go to his house after the golf round and bring back his documents in order to get a refund. The manager said he was not giving a refund no matter what . I was embarrassed by his attitude.
Always consistent
This course seems to always stay well maintained. It has a decently challenging layout and calls for most of the clubs in your bag. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant has great food and service. Cart girls are very friendly as well. Never had an issue with pace of play either. Thumbs up for a great local course.
Awesome shape
I have been playing this course for a while and every year is getting better. At this time the course i's in great shape.
The range, putting and chipping green are excelent to. Also the food in the restaurant it's really really good!
Most consistent condition of any course in Miami
This course is very well maintained and good challenge for all skill-levels. Highly recommend to locals and visitors.
Amazing course
The course is an excellent condition.
Guys do a great job
The greens are the best in town.
Would definitely recommend.
Course is in excellent shape
Best greens in Miami right now. Course is in awesome shape.
Wow new Tiff Eagle Greens
The new tiff eagle greens are fast, true, and undulating. If you want to enjoy a track in prestige condition with perhaps the best greens in South fl, go play this golf course. The recent changes to course are unbelievable and you can't play a better track for the price. The staff is friendly and the food is to rave about. The breakfast sandwiches are my favorite. My time is limited but when I can play my course of choice is this one
Best public course in South Florida
If you haven't played at Melrese, you don't know what you're missing. I play 3 times a week at various courses in South Florida and I think melrese is playing the best right now. Their greens are rolling perfect and the course is in tip top shape. Not to mention they have the most underrated restaurant around, melrese offers a great golf experience that will keep you and your friends coming back.
Great Miami course
Course is always in excellent condition from tee to green. The staff is friendly and always goes the extra yard to accommodate players.
My favorite course in the Miami area.
Truly blown away
I grew up playing at MelReese and I heard about the improvements, but was truly blown away by the condition of the course. I think they are setting a new standard for public golf in S Miami... The staff and accommodations are great and for the price I would challenge you to find any better course within 100 miles.
Great course close to the airport
You would never think this is a public course. The practice facilities are first class, staff friendly and the course is challenging with lots of water and strategic bunkers. The greens are tough and usually pretty fast. Definitely worth a visit
Hidden gem in plain sight
Frequent traveler and always fly over the course and wished I would be playing instead of traveling/working. Never really cared to play the course because I figured it wasn't and exec course and not worth it.
Decided to look at the reviews and saw the price so I did some research. Turns out it was a world class facility so I booked a tee time. Wow.
Greens are as good as it can get. Course was in immaculate condition. Challenging yet accessible layout (pick the right tees or you will regret it). Course management is key. Was playing well so went pin hunting on the back 9 and it cost me about 5 strokes. Noise surprisingly is not an issue.
Great facility, small range, hard to get a spot on a busy day. Service was top notch, first tee was a bit backed up. Smoothed out later in the round and pace wasn't too slow.
Club restaurant is supposed to be great but I guess that doesn't apply to breakfast. Food was not good at all.
Overall loved the course, will add it to my rotation.
best in town
I have not found a better course in Miami. Perfect condition from tee to green. Greens are just perfect & challenging. Staff very professional & Very good restaurant.
The best public course in Miami. Period.
Its hard to believe this is the same course that once had a trailer as clubhouse 10 years ago. Since it's full renovation and last year's grass redo and layout update, the course is more fun and challenging than ever. The fairways and greens are always in great shape, the staff amazingly helpful and friendly. They'll do whatever it's needed to make the experience truly enjoyable. I wish i could say the same about the greens, they are fast, with hidden contours, and always a test to your patience. If your putting is off, get ready to write some double bogeys down. It also has the best driving range in the city, including private clubs. Don't miss the churrasco steak at the restaurant, which is usually busy during lunch hours, so more people agree with me. And if you enjoy watching planes, then you'll be blown away. My advice? on the 14th, unless you are on the right side of the fairway, don't even try going for it.
Favorite course for the price in Miami
Always a great course. It definitely has some challenging holes and the greens and fairways are always in great shape. I consistently play most of the courses in the Miami area (that are reasonably priced) and this one is one of my favorites
Great Course!
This is a great play right by the airport. I landed at 1:45pm and was on the first tee by 3:10pm. The course was in great shape and greens were quick. For the price, this course is hard to beat and i will definitely be playing it again
