Palmetto Golf Course
About
Palmetto Golf Course gets its name from the beautiful palmetto trees that line the fairways and meandering waterways. Although they add to the scenery, the trees double as a challenging element of the course since they can also affect shots. The golf course was designed by Dick Wilson, who has designed many other courses in the area. Water hazards come into play on 10 holes of the course, including the notable signature hole, which a 435-yard par-4. There are also sand bunkers strategically placed throughout. The Palmetto Golf Course facility boasts lighted practice facilities, including a practice putting green and driving range.

Price is right, course condition is poor
Miami has become very unaffordable for golf, thanks a lot out of state transferees that ruined golf for us locals. If you're looking for an affordable course and are willing to compromise on course conditions, then this is a good option. This last time I've played, I've really noticed how bad of a turn the course has taken. It needs a lot of TLC. Some of the greens have sand bunkers in it, where the grass has totally died. The tee boxes are just horrendous with barely any grass. The fairways have been overtaken by weeds. I did see a notice from the course that the front 9 is going to be closed for renovations soon, which is much needed, because the front 9 is particularly in the worst shape. Hopefully the staff puts some good TLC to the course, because it's a nice challenging track that shouldn't be left neglected.
Slow play- fun course!
Slow pace of play, but I wasn’t too bothered by it. Good amount of water and most of the greens in good shape. Great day on the links
Being cared much better than the previous course supt. Tee on 9 needs care.
Golf carts need to be changed soon.
Greens are terrible
County operated. Greens are in need of work. They are absolutely horrible. Never any straight lines to cup, weeded and slouched. The rain has really affected them since they were last aerated. Other than that, overall a decent course
Good course and slow play
This course is well worth your money if you are a patient individual; the play speed is slow as as snail; patrons are not very considerate with other and take too long to play, invade other holes fairway in the middle of play, etc.
Old Faithful
Recent aerification has produced bumpy greens. Of course this is mandatory to keep things right. In another two to three weeks, the greens will be great. With a wonderful layout and a great staff it is my go-to course.
Course has Pros and cons.
This is my home course so I play it often.
Driving range is decent. Careful with some of the spots though, you might smash your club in the shading pole.
Course layout is awesome and price is very affordable. Unfortunately the course is not well maintained. Greens run very slow with small divots in them. Weeds and crab grass are everywhere. Fair ways are in tough shape. Don’t expect to score your best here.
Staff is friendly. Instructors for lessons are friendly and don’t make you feel stupid if your starting out.
Course didnt provide Carts after paying for them and no refund
We walked 18 holes with no push carts while carrying coolers in 87 degree florida sun. Easily the worst out of about 90 rounds of golf that ive played. Rangers were being rude and inconsiderate in regards to the conditions that they set up.
For the guy in the cart
Tell Steve to be a little nicer to cancer patients
A good day golfing
Haven't played here in years. Despite the reviews, found a Hot Deal and it was definitely worth the play. Not your championship or resort course for sure, but its in decent to good condition and a good play nonetheless. Check your expectations and you'll enjoy a casual round on a course that doesn't charge those exorbitant South Florida prices. Would rate 3.5 if possible.
Good overall, considering not a lot a players the pace of play was a bit slow , I guess a Marshall presence would speed up play and allow faster players to go trough .
Thank you
