Pricey
I like this course, but adding new sand shouldn't increase the fee by $100.
I am staying in Lely while in the Naples area, and the cost makes me want to look for a fair price.
$279 is too expensive for April.
The Flamingo and Mustang courses are empty and the cost, US$279 and US$220 for twilight, is the cause.
The staff is wondering why the prices aren’t coming down at this time of year.
As residents of Lely, it is disconcerting to see so little activity on the course.
Great course if you can get a deal
Pro shop is rarely friendly, they will NOT give you a deal but complain if you get a deal through Golf Pass, which starts the round off in a terrible way. This may expalin why the course is often empty. Staters are always fantastic. Course itself is amazing. Always seems like an extra club is needed for approach shots. Greens were slow but consistent.
the New Flamingo, still needs some work
i was excited to play the Flamingo after the course improvements made the past year. Given the money they put in to the course, there are two things that really surprised me: First, the sand in the sand traps is like nothing i have experienced before (it is like sugar or beach sand). The sand is very dense, it makes playing out of the traps very difficult. This is especially problematic as there are a lot of sand traps on this course! Second, the grass around the green and along the sides of the fairway is very uneven. I've never seen anything like this either. oftentimes your ball is sitting in a small trough, we ended up rolling our balls out when it happened. Something you shouldn't have to do on a high end course. I would not pay the full price to play this course.
Great course, friendly staff, great condition
I loved playing here, amazing course, I got a great deal on this site but it is expensive to play here
Too expensive for range mats
We were willing to pay up for the grass range and practice facility, but the range is restricted to mats on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays and the wouldn’t allow us to use the practice facility after 5 when sunset wasn’t until 7:40. The course is a nice track, but not worth $220/round..
Fun in the sun
Great course, conditions really good and pace of play is good. I’d recommend and will be back.
Good day of golf
Great day of golf, price is steep $229 for a $125 course.
Flamingo
Good day of golf, expensive.
Always a pleasure to play Flamingo. We were able to play in 3 1/2 hours. No one in front of us and no one behind. The spacing is great.
Great Course., poor pace oversight
New golf group appeared on 10th hole slowing play considerably. No ranger to intervene. New group began to leave throughout second nine leaving a single golfer playing between two foursomes Terrible experience.
True challenge of golf
Great track very hard course you play here you feel like you’ve had a challenging round
Very enjoyable course
We went expecting a four to four and a half hour round. We had a 12:30 tee time and played front in 1:45., sometimes hitting a second ball. Got to tenth tee and suddenly a twosome was in front of us. They were definitely not on the front nine….shouldn’t have happened and they didn’t let us through although we were right on top of them……Marshall’s are useless. Starters are very good.
Back at Lely Flamingo
Played again after a year hiatus, decided to bite the bullet on the high cost for a slightly less than high end course .
However, course was in great condition & pace of play very good. Glad we chose to play there & probably will return.
