Marcus Pointe Golf Club
About
Marcus Pointe Golf Club tumbles across 600 acres of rolling woodlands, which is a rare occurrence in the mostly flat Panhandle area. The back nine is where golfers really begin to notice the dramatic undulations. Earl Stone, who has designed several Gulf Coast golf courses, created the layout. He has built his reputation on building playable and affordable courses. While water may not come into play often, golfers will still be kept on their toes by the numerous sand bunkers and an abundance of trees and of course, the tricky angles and elevation changes throughout. The golf course is challenging but fair with a playability that appeals to golfers of all skill levels. The greens are well manicured and keep all abilities in mind. Four sets of tees make Marcus Pointe Golf Club even more accessible.

Worth Playing
First visit since April when the greens were horendous. Happy to see this course has returned to its normal condition. A few bare areas in the fairways that are expected from the regular players. The greens are in good condition although the pitch marks are a bit bothersome where the regular players aren't taking care of their own course. This isn't uncommon among neighborhood courses in the Panhandle. Happy to see this course has returned to a playable 18. Looking forward to returning again.
PACE OF PLAY
Played 12/12/21 and pace of play was TERRIBLE. Clocked the front nine in a staggering 2 and a half hours after voluntarily grouping up with another twosome. Made the turn after the front nine and overheard the staff frantically trying to locate carts as they had none available. Tee times were crammed together and 5somes and 6somes spotted. Gave up after nearly 4 and a half hours playing only 14 holes.
Marcus
Another good experience at Marcus. Fairways and greens in good shape and only slowed down a bit by a foursome that could have picked up the pace a bit.
Great Course and Staff
I have played here before and the back 9 was closed to repairs. This time everything is open. Course is in great shape. Greens play well. The staff here is amazing! From the pro shop to the beverage cart every single person was nice and friendly. This may just be my home course!
Great Round
Greens are very fast, but roll true. Enough tee options to enjoy your round with different skills in your foursome
Challenging course in good condition
Found the layout challenging. Course was in good condition. It would have been excellent if a few greens and fairways were not so thin. Would definitely recommend to a friend
Marcus Pointe........ Good.
I like the curse. Over the years and recent... the course is getting good maintenance.
Down to nine
Back nine closed, only front available for play. Greens in bad shape with large sections unplayable .Played with member who is disgusted with staff for allowing course to deteriorate to this extent. A shame as this used to be a very nice track always consistently in good shape. Won't be back until conditions are fixed.
um
course has always been good apparently there are issues with grounds the back nine is closed as well it should be for issues with the last i guess owners? still like the course but wish i knew i had to play the front twice still had a good time better than a day at work all were friendly
