I have been playing at The Golf Club at SummerBrooke for about three years. I agree with Mr. Gercak that great strides have been made with regard to the greens and general playability of the golf course. The new owners have made major time and financial commitments to the golf course in the past three years and the course continues to get better and better as evidenced by the many more players on the weekend. I would encourage anyone to try SummerBrooke again (however the greens were recently aerated and will take another week) Incidentally, most golf courses will tell you if you ask when making your tee time, whether the greens have been recently aerated.
I have been playing at Summerbrooke for about 4 years now. Back in 2005 the greens were in bad shape. I too was very discourged. The new Owners made a commitment to make this a great course and they have. The last two years have showed enormous results and I challange anyone to come out and and enjoy the new and improved greens. I was very discouraged to see the comment from the comment left by gentleman dated June 13, 2005 because of the great strides the course has made.
The Summerbrooke Golf Course has the best members of any course I have been to so if you were discurged in 2005, I'd suggest you try it again. Your missing out on a great golf course.

Just an update on this story. I had the oppertunity to play Summerbrook Golf course on 6/12. It was by far the worst course I have played in a long time. You could not putt on the greens due the very very poor condititons. one of the players that I was playing with sayed it was like trying to put on the beach with holes on it. The real issue is that the club charged full price for these condidtions with out warning any of us about the condidtions fo the course. When asked for a rebate or a lower price, the rsponse was the greens are getting better. Needless to say we will not be playing on this agian, and will tell as many people about the issues and results.
The course are in so much better shape now than it was in '05 and the members are absolutely the best. I don't disagree that the course wasn't in great shape in '05. I have been a member at SummerBrooke for 2 years and it has been very enjoyable.
Mr. Darling:
I would be more than happy to take you out for a round or two (I'll pay for the rounds, of course) to show you how much the course have improve since you last play. You can also come out for the Sunday scramble @ 4:00 PM as my guest and meet all the 'fun' members at SummerBrooke. My e-mail is mickeynguyen@yahoo.com. I hope you will take me up and try the course again.
