Worth A Visit
Henderson is in decent shape for early Spring. It's a nice challenging layout with many really interesting holes.
In need of lots of TLC
This course has clearly fell on very hard times. There's grass growing in several of the bunkers. The tee boxes have little to no grass. Its hard to tell the difference from the fairway and roughs. The greens are spotty, unreadable and don't hold a shot. This was once a jewel of a course, now its probably Savannah's worst 18 hole track.
Once a diamond, now a cubic zirconia
This course was once upon a time one of the better courses in the Savannah area. Now it's weeds weeds weeds everywhere. Grass growing in a number of bunkers, hard dry patchy fairways and greens. Tee boxes were more like sand boxes. It's sad to see what this course has become. This is the worst 18 holes in Savannah.
Cart path in better shape compared to South Bridge
I was uncertain of what to expect based on my experince from last year. But was pleasantly suprised as the course conditions where great with obvious efforts taking place to make it better. Will play there again BUT still love South Bridge!
Conditions
Course was not in good shape.
Nice challenge
I'm an average player, loved the challenges on some of the holes. We showed up about an hour before our tee time, there was hardly anyone on the course, but were told to wait at least a half hour before teeing off. Didn't quite understand why, as no one teed off during that time.... Also we wanted to grab a sandwich after the 9th, but they weren't fresh, dated at least 4-5 days old
Needs money into the course
I am certain a one time this was a wonderful course but lack of funds has taken it's toll.
Course needs a lot love
This course has potential. Very poor condition couldn't find a tuff of grass to get a good lie all day! Not worth $35 to play this course greens are untrue and inconsistent.
Golf or Mud Bog
Beautiful course full of water obstacles, mostly on the cart path and fairway. Sand traps with no sand,,, Several holes were not playable as they were too wet to hit ball. No roll on the fairway, water does not drain well enough. This course needs work to be playable after any level of rain! The staff gave no pregame warning of any kind, very disappointed.
Course Should Have Been Closed
I have played here several times and the worst conditions I had ever experienced were some rain on the fairways. Today it was carts only everywhere. I played the first hole in very soggy conditions and then hit my tee shot in the middle of the fairway on the second hole, only not to be able to get to the ball without driving on the mud, or walking through it to get to the ball. I had called to see if they were open today and they said "yes." I would not play this course again without a guarantee that it is playable. When you call the course, be sure to drill down and ask if there is a refund if the course is unplayable. I drive 20 miles to play this course, so wasted an hour today getting there and back. Bring your mud boots anyhow!
Interesting Layout
Although the. Course was wet in places it was still playable. The greens rolled true and consistent. Good variety in the layout presents many challenges. The bunkers were in average condition. Good value for the price.
Nice track
I paid for 18 holes but at pro shop, they said reservation was only for 9holes.
Disappointing greeting....
Awesome
Great course will come back many many times. Course was little wet due to weather so it had nothing to do with the staff or management. Overall great time!!
Good Value - Very Wet Conditions
Course is a challenge to play where your tee shots must be in play. Greens are undulating and fun to putt on. Not sure if current conditions are representative or if recent rains turned the course into a swamp. Most courses would not allow carts in the fairways - but not this one. Not sure, if had the chance, I would replay.
Cousre in Good Shape, very playable
Course in good shape, greens in good shape considering the weather and being punched recently, fairways were in excellent shape, good round
golf
Played this course before it was in rough shape there have been a lot of improvements all but one green is now are in great shape a lot of the bunker have been redone
where is the sand?
Almost all the bunkers need work. No sand. Greens need watering because they will not hold a shot.no restaurant only a snack bar that doesn'thave a staff.
Pack an extra sleeve of balls
Fairly tight course, though a few holes you can grip it and rip it. If this is the first time playing, make sure you know where the landing areas are or your great tee shot will not be so great. Greens were a little rough but playable.
Rough around the edges
The course was in good shape but grass is growing in the bunkers. There was no one in the restaurant side and ON HOT DOGS.
Hidden gem
Got this course as hot deal of day on golfnow.com. Totally worth the money. Loved the layout. Challenging yet fair. Greens ran pretty well though bumpy in a few spots. If we come back for vacation to Savannah we will definitely play this course again.
