True gem
We rode up from St Augustine to play for my birthday. I played this course a lot in the early 2000s when we would drive down to visit family. I have always loved this layout and wanted to share it with a friend who had never played it.
This is a tremendous layout and gorgeous property. The greens were smooth, but a touch slow. There were some spots of weeds, but not bad. In all, we had a fabulous day and wish it wasn't 2 hours away or I would play it more.

Much better than last time.
Enjoyed the round. Fairways & greens much better condition than my last outing. Greens were soft & green, for a change. Please put something down on the cart paths. Way Too rough & worn at any speed, even dead slow..

Nice layout
I last played here in June & it was 5 stars, a friend of mine had played it once & didn’t like it. We convinced him to come & play with us us & I told him it was lovely, the rough was up & it was aesthetically pleasing. When we played on sa wrong It was hard to tell the rough from the fairways . It was very average & no way 5 stars as the fake reviews read.

Sapelo never seems to let us down.
From the time we pulled in til our round was over everyone was friendly and welcoming.
The golf course was in perfect shape,
simply one of the best days we have ever had.

Don’t miss this!!
Use whatever map app you need to get here. After you play, you will join me in telling anyone this is your favorite course. The nice new carts are well kept with spot free windshields. The staff is oh so friendly. Hangry during or after your round? Their menu, specifically their burger, will not disappoint. If you forgot something or want something, the pro shop is well stocked. Sapelo Hammock Golf Club is exactly what they claim to be….a hidden gem. Go! Play! Repeat!

Exceptional Golf Course
Haven’t played everywhere but Sapelo Hammock GC will easily stay in my top favorite courses to play in Georgia. Course conditions - great. Staff friendliness - great. Amenities - great. Highly recommend.

Good course for the money
This course is a hidden gem. Definitely worth the money. Very friendly staff. the course is challenging as the holes are tight and narrow but fair. If in the area again would definitely play again.

Some of the greens were in poor condition with
many small holes in the surface.

Knowledgeable greens crew
The greens crew has done a great job of keeping up with funky climate swings and greens disease management. Not easy in the south
Tee boxes and fairways are in great shape as well. And free range balls make the golf experience at Sapelo a real value round.

Golf course is a good value for cost, had a knowledgeable greens guy, and the oro shop/ restaurant had super nice folks, Cristina and Evis, (sp), doing a great job behind the counter.
