Disappointing
I played this course in July of 2021 while on vacation in Oahu. Course was totally burned out dry from lack of rain. Play was slow. I was able to play through two groups then got jammed up behind a foursome that played very slow to the end.
Tee boxes and greens were not in good shape. Clubhouse was awful, like a cheap municipal course. Not worth playing here.
Neglected golf course
This course has potential to be a great course. Greens are in terrible shape...full of weeds and shaggy and fairways are burned up. I've played this course back in the day and it was really nice.
Need to maintain course
I felt like i was playing in desert
It was not good value for playing there with over 100
Course was in good shape but pace was slow
Played the course pre-Covid and it was not in good shape at all but decided to try again since a friend said the conditions improved. I was happy to see that the course was in better shape and looked like work had been done since my last visit.
The problem I had was the pace of play was really slow. It took 5 hours to play the round and I never saw a marshal the whole time we were on the course.
Also the food place closed at 3P which is really early especially on a weekend. We wanted to get something to eat/drink and there were several other people there asking the same thing.
Fairways were very dry, a lot of brown grass. Greens were great shape though.
Just ok
The last time I played was in 2020. The course seems a bit rundown now. However, coming from a cold weather climate it was good to just swing a club again. The front 9 greens we’re aerated but the back 9 greens were ok.
The price through Tee Off was appropriate for this course.

Great championship course. Must play with awesome views!
Hawaii Kai Survey.
Great course with difficulty. Shot 85 that’s 2 under my HI. Thanks
Ok
Greens slow. Course not very green and lush. Had some holes that were above average. Overall ok
Worth every penny!
What a wonderful course with mountain and ocean view opportunities! I play all over the world and this is now in my top 5 overall. The staff is unbelievable and views are great. Very inexpensive for what you get!!!!
Surprisingly good shape
A few years ago the locals had told me this course was very dry and not in that good of shape. I finally played there for the first time and was surprised to find it in great shape. The fairways were lush and the greens were in good shape. Maybe they've received a lot of rain recently. Regardless, I didn't see any dry spots. The bunkers were a little hard. They didn't have the soft white sand high end courses use. The pace of play was a bit slow. We got stuck behind a fivesome of seniors. No reason to rush. Everyone's on island time.
