Hot deal was a score.
Bought the hot deal and got paired with a stick!!! Was really nice to be on a pure course and have a clinic put on. I played well and the wind was low so it was enjoyable. Great staff, snacks and beverages always available it seemed. Starboard was fun even for a 20+ handicap. I’ll be back for sure.
Always an enjoyable round at Harborside
Greens fees are pricey, but the Harborside experience is worth it.
Starboard play
I’ve played both courses at Harborside many times but, this was the first time for my playing partner to experience Starboard. After the round he said he now prefers it over Port. I think both are challenging and fun to play.
Conditions were great for November. Greens rolled well and the bunkers were maintained well.
Though it's late in the season it would've been nice to have a ranger out there to speed up a slow moving 4some. With limited sunlight, maintaining pace is important to allow everyone to get their round in.
FYI
I did have a hole in one 10/10/21 on starboard course par 3 177 yards #13. My first at 69 years old. 5 iron 10/24/22 was great but windy
Great Range. Good Greens. Views of the Chicago skyline were impressive.
Overpriced
Every time I play here I'm astonished at how this place has not yet fixed the cart paths. It's a joke amongst the staff that work there at how bad they are, yet they routinely charge you $130 for a round of golf. Pretty embarrassing for this course. There were also several tee boxes with long patchy grass like you would see at a municipal course. It's just not worth the cost.... maybe if it was maintained better.
Course is in great shape Cart paths in horrible condition
Course is in great condition
Enough to challenge any level of players
The cart paths are in so bad condition that the bumps will make your back hurts
Never seen such poor condition of cart paths anywhere!!
