About
Naperbrook Golf Course sprawls across rolling hills covered with native prairie grasses. Located in northwest Plainfield, the course was carefully carved from pristine Illinois farmland. The traditional links-style layout nicely balances player-friendly elements with more challenging ones. Like many links courses, wind will most likely be a factor. The fairways are open and fairly generous and the large greens have interesting undulations and tiers. Though the golf course is routed through 10 different ponds, water isn't the most prominent hazard. Instead you'll find the tall grasses to be the more challenging test. There are also some tricky hidden bunkers strategically placed throughout. The par 5s are long but reachable and the par 3s are particularly challenging, offer greater rewards to players who are willing to take risks. In addition to the golf course, Naperbrook is also home to a 10-acre driving range.

GREAT COURSE and PRICE
What a GREAT! course. This was the first time playing it and I was really surprised how nice of a course it was. Fairways had a little winter damage but the greens were ROLLING really nice. We only got to play 9 holes due to weather but would recommend this course to anybody. I look forward to playing it again.
Fun
I really enjoy this course. It has some Vertu challenging holes and some relatively easy holes. As a pretty high handicap golfer, This course is challenging without without needing a dozen balls too get through it. I thoroughly enjoy this course.

It's early good course great rate
It is not fair to judge the course this early but....
it's in pretty good shape the greens were slow but true. The rest of the course was well kept.

Course has a little something for everyone
Long but reachable par 5's. Greens have undulations requiring a good read from both sides of the line to the pin. Challenging Par 3's which reward those who go for it.

course set's up nice not very hard the grenn's were very slow maybe rain did not help a good place to build up your confidence

The fairways were shaggy and needed grooming.
The greens were very slow. The fairways were in need of a cutting. I was very disappointed in the condition of the course.

play a little slow. it was a holiday so that is expected. greens were roughed up with alot of unattended ball marks.

Challenging and fun. Some easy holes, some tough ones.
Course was in very good condition. Fairways cut short and the rough not too deep. Greens were fast and undulating, with the pins in some testy positions. Real sand in the bunkers. My son and I played 18 holes in about 3.25 hrs. Would definitely play there again.

Less than Friendly Staff and 5.5 hr + Round
Starter was less tan friendly, seemed bothered when asked a question. Tee time was about 15 minutes late . got on the course waited on every tee and fairway , not a ranger to be found 3 groups ahead of us there was a that foursome 2 holes behind, with no staff to be found . After holing out on 15 someone from club met us and said sorry things were slow he was going to get people to pick it up. Already 5+ hrs into round a little to late. After round one member went into clubhouse to get change even that was a problem. Very disappointed

Overbooked and overated. Pace of play 5plus hours. Staff is unconcerned. Caters to local residents.

Room for Your Shot
This is a links course, but the fairways are generous.
They hide some hazards so look at the score card for the water.

Watch the Rough
Nice course with plenty of open fairways, the most challenging part of the course was very deep rough which not only ate few balls that could have been easily found otherwise, but also slowed us down looking for balls that were just off the fairway or just off green. If you can stay out of the rough, you'll be in good shape.

Great Condition Post Flooding
Played days after big flood. Besides one water area down near a Par 5. This course was in pristine condition. Naperville Public courses are always good. Under $30 is Good Value

Decent Layout...greens need attention
Played this course on a late twilight round. Course looks nice and green all over. Rough is growing in nicely, fairways aren't cut super tight but held up nicely especially with all the recent rains. I like the layout with pretty good placed bunkers and water hazards that make some approaches difficult. My only real problem with the course is the greens. I was fixing 6-10 divots every hole. I understand it is a public course, but their just aren't enough people that fix ball marks or care too. The greens have some nice undulations and tiers to them, but when you are dodging mine fields of ball marks on 6 footers for par it gets a little crazy. Course is worth $30-40 to play and maybe more if they can get a handle on the green upkeep.

Course was in good condition and I enjoy how each hole was set up.
We had to wait a minimum of 10 minutes to start every hole. The staff didn't greet us and the starter wasn't even out their to keep everyone in check. I feel like they over booked the day and didn't care that people had to wait forever to play each hole.
