Good Morning,
Just a short note, please allow me a few minutes of you precious time I used to caddie here in 1939,40 and 41 before joining the US Navy
Bob Hyatt was the caddie master and his brother Ray was assistant over at the waiting area near the skeet shoot and tennis courts.
Al Collins was the Professional and
Our fees were $1.00 for a loop, of course some members would tip us a quarter.
I am getting up in the years (near 84) but hope to stop by sometime to bring back memories. Hope this message gets through, I am living in Hawaii temporary.
My best regards to your Professional and staff. Hope they preserved the Caddie Master Shack and Bag Room. In my days it was a honor an privalege to work at the Best Country Club in the world and will never forget I have played several courses during my Navy Career, but none like Highland, we were able to play on caddie day and of course the member caddie tournament and dinner once a year.
By Best Regards,
