the course is both challenging and beautiful.

Always a fun and challenges you game. You need to plan out yohr attack on many holes with island greens and lots of water and sand to play around. I wk uld and do recommend this course to thes scratch llayer as well as the ones just starting to play golf. It does take course management to shot a good score

A thinking-man's course with many decisions to be made. Very fun to play

I had gotten a peek at the course while visiting some family over the years, but I never had a chance to play it. I was finally able to play it this weekend with a friend, and it was a very nice experience.
Checking in was smooth, and the range/practice green were nice. The starter gave us some advice on a particular hole that trips up most first-timers-it was good advice. The course offers many choices for someone who drives the ball moderately long off the tee. I always enjoy a course that makes you think and gives you options. The fairways and greens were in great shape. The greens were fast, but not obscenely so. They rolled very true also. The in-cart GPS and pin sheet were helpful. One minor complaint is that two of the par 3s had drop areas, but these were not well marked. We almost missed one completely. A note on the scorecard or a mention by the starter would remedy this.
Overall the experience was excellent, and I can heartily recommend Gray Plantation to anyone looking for a beautiful setting at a reasonable price.

Fabulous Course

It's no wonder that this course is rated in the top 100 courses according to ESPN. It is absolutely fabulous and quite challenging when played from the 'tips'. I would recommend this course to all simply because of the nature and natural beauty of the course. However, the 20 MPH north wind made for a bit of fun on many of the holes.

Always in great shape

I play this course two to three times per year as I am not from the area and am never dissapointed. It is always in great condition and plays extremely fair. I have played many of the SW Louisiana area courses and any time I make a trip through the area this course is always included in my rotation.

Always kept up

Everyone that works there is very nice. The golf course is always in good shape. Fairaways cut nice, rough is a little deep in some places but in most of the rough is fluffy. Greens are always nice, soft and fast.
