golf like it should be.
fairways and greens are in great shape I pair up with 3 young men that made the round enjoyable. my only compliant is i drove 3 hours ( which I would do again) is the starter let 4 friends squeeze in between the group ahead of us and are tee time on a pack Friday. we just finish in the dark because that.
The fairways are perfect
I’ve played here many times and love how the fairways are cut and taken care of
Have been playing the course since it opened.
Last three trips have been delayed at the first tee by bla bla bla.
They are over booked . Catering to larger groups and newbie members. If your any where near by play the local course
Great Track, value, staff
I play the links semi-regularly and love all of it. The course adapts well to your skill level and offers great variety. As with any good course that offers tremendous value it can be crowded but I always try to get out in the first hour and fly right around. Great layout with two very different 9's. its a family owned course and the owners and staff are all super friendly. The 2 star review is ridiculous but I do agree they need to pay some attention to their bunkers they have always been the victims of neglect. Suggesting Old Marsh or Sandford are better options is bananas.
Too slow
Played on a beautiful fall day as did everyone from a 100 miles. Course is well maintained and playable for all . Staff was friendly in both pro shop and bar. Course has 5 blind tee shots that really slow s things down. They do have spotters at 2 of those holes. If it wasnt for the 5 hour 40 min round i would have rated much higher. Give it a chance, i will again
Great staff and food.
It's a fun course to play. Excellent conditions and a challenge for all levels of golfers?
Issues...Issues....
It was our group's first time there and we had a coupon for $49 with a cart...they accepted our coupon..more on that later.
The course is a hour from Boston and their are a number of other course choices in the area...never tried the Links. Upon arrival and check in we came out to find many groups waiting on the tee and 8 minute tee times- not good for a course with a reachable par 5 to start and a very busy day. We where delayed 30 Mins and our round lasted over 5 hours. The second issue: the condition of the bunkers: terrible they have not been maintained all spring and when asked they said it was a bad spring: Guys- other courses at least rake the bunkers...seems like they are having maintenance issues here and there around the course. After the round I address this with management via email. Needless to say they did not "do what was in the best interest of the customer" by acknowledging the issues- instead they wanted to debate. Needless to say we wont be back. Oh- and they told use we had a special price that day- I told when we used a coupon anyway and never mentioned on their website they punched the greens. If you read my other review here you will see i'm very fair, but in this case they seem to be not customer friendly and pump alot of money into advertising, Too bad they can't make 10 minute tee times and maintain their bunkers...there are better places to play in the area- Old Marsh, Sanford and The Ledges to name a few. I'd skip the Links.
Fall Maine golf
we played on a Monday late morning and found the golf course quiet with pace of play really good.Course was in fantastic shape... Tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in great shape. Greens rolled quick but true. This golf course has two distinctively different nines. The front plays a little more open links style golf. The back was a lot tighter with more trees Back nine plays shorter but accuracy is important. Back nine also has big elevation changes and great views of mountains around the area. # 17 plays to a par 5 downhill to a small green. # 18 plays into the clubhouse and is a good hole to end a very pleasurable golf course. We had lunch in tavern and service was spot on and food was hot, fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this course when you have chance to play.
