Unfriendly Poor Conditions
Play any of the other city/county courses before this. Poorly kept and unfriendly staff.
Fair for the money.. needs some maintenance
Very friendly staff, needs some maintenance but good for the price...
Marshals
I have played multiple rounds at Forest Park. Overall the course and the staff inside the club house is great. However, there are a few marshal that are very rude and have an aggressive attitude towards the golfers. It is totally unacceptable and needs to be address.
Greens
We play this course all the time love the course consider it our home course, course was in really good shape except the greens got to the first green and noticed they were aerated. There was no notice on GolfNow that any greens had been aerated prior to play, if we would have known that we would have went somewhere else this week
Great value during twilight
Got in a quick 9 on a Sunday afternoon for only $18 walking. Course is fairly easy, the front 9 is probably a bit more difficult than the back. Behind Pine Ridge, this is my second favorite classic 5 course. Did run into a small issue with a threesome not paying attention to golfers behind them, so I had to skip and return to that hole. Ranger was watching but also did not say anything. Staff is friendly and I'll be back.
Nice Little Course
I played a 5:58 A.M. tee time. Checked in early and they let me start before my tee time. The manager Dee could not have been more friendly or helpful. The starter was also very friendly. I know that early tee times the course can be wet, I had to skip the first tee as they had the sprinklers going. The front nine were a mess, it was like they way over watered the course. You would have thought it had rained for a week straight. I got to the fifth tee and they also had the sprinklers going. Despite the course conditions, I will be back to play the course again.
Great job
Rain all weekend and they grounds crew kept the course playable. Great job
Fun round
Pretty laid back course. Nothing fancy but enjoyable and inexpensive. #1 is not easy to find sinage is lacking. Course was in ok shape and was fairly easy. Greens were in surprisingly good shape save for a couple spots. Overall a good place for a cheap quick easy round.
Forest Park
Got a great price for a quick afternoon round. Course was open so no pace of play issues. Had a decent round which made for a great evening.
Course wasn't bad for Feb, but the starter was.
First off,I love that I could golf in February in MD! It was an amazing weekend with 60 plus degrees. Of course, the golf course would be pack, which was expected.
The staff in the pro shop was very friendly, and was a great first impression. The starter on the other hand, was very unfriendly and was a little ticked off with me when I asked how long the delay was. We book a tee time and checked in a few minutes before our tee time. The course was short on golf carts. We were there before our tee time and it seemed like they were trying to get walk ons out on the course. You turn walk ons away when you are short on cart, and running two tee times behind.
The course was so-so. the back 9 was much better off than the front (We did not get to play all of the back 9 because of the 30 minute delay with our tee time.). It is feb, so what course is in great shape. There was a few things that could be improved. There are some greens that need to be rolled. (Greens overall were pretty good shape and difficult.) So of the grass needs to be repaired, but overall, an average condition course.
The staff did give us free balls to hit at the golf range.
Great value
This is a great value course in Baltimore. The tees, fairways, and greens are in good condition especially for this time of year. I look forward to playing during the summer here. It's wide open on most holes so there is little risk of losing balls. I really enjoyed playing here.
