Braintree
Course conditions were good. The greens were true and fast, rare for a municipal course. Lots of ppl not replacing their divots
Not your average "Muni"
Braintree Muni can be considered a hidden gem. Depending on day/time, you can play/ride for under $60. Overall the course is always well maintained (granted: for a public), the routing is varied interesting and fun, and the staff is helpful while staying out of the way (what I am looking for). Unfortunately, it does get crowded in the summer, so you may be playing a 5hr round. I'd still recommend an 18 to any and all.
Horrible Experience
Staff was incredibly rude. Wouldn’t allow my wife to have a drink and drive the cart with me. She was told to leave and they screamed “no spectators” at us. Forced me to get a cart with a complete stranger even though I prepaid through Golf Now. Stranger was smoking weed in the cart, and had to periodically blow into breathalyzer throughout round. Stranger also told me he paid half of what I paid for the round. Horrible conditions, and incredibly slow pace of play. Stay away! George Wright, Franklin Park, Putterham, and even Newton Commonwealth are much better. Don’t waste your money!
better conditions than i expected
The course was a lot better than I had anticipated since it rained the night before. It had drained well and with the exception of muddy spots in a few low areas of the course, it was relatively dry.
great greens
greens were cut and rolled and in great shape, there were some wet areas in fairways but course was in good shape
Great shape and challenging
Course is in great shape. Very friendly staff. Challenging but very slow play
Good value great course
Nice course with good greens and fairways was able to play the 18 under 4 hours good playing partners and nice with the mixture of tree leaves colors on the whole course. Also nice seeing goats!
Quality and money
This place TRIES! In so many ways !!! Check this place for conditions ,,,and service ,,, then check the price ,, none better!!!!!
Decent course, good value
There’s nothing really fancy or challenging about the course, but it’s well-maintained and a solid value for a muni.
Great value for Hot Deal
New to Massachusetts and never played this course before. Saw a Hot Deal advertised for a morning time that perfectly fit into my schedule. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by this course, The greens and fairways are in good shape, and it’s very walkable.
Great conditions, even after a heatwave!
I’ve driven by this course a million times and had no idea it’s there!
Greg in the pro-shop is awesome, and was very welcoming when I pulled up with my 3yr old son to take a look (it was late in the day, and he allowed me to bring Sonny onto the practice green with me).
I returned two days later and played 18 at 6:20am for only $30!!
Course is in GREAT condition, even after the two week heatwave we’ve endured! Greens are beautiful, and overall I’m extremely impressed with the care taken by the workers at this municipal course. The town of Braintree should be proud!
