D. W. Field Golf Course
About
Located on the west side of Brockton, D.W. Field Golf Course is just 30 minutes south of Boston. The 18-hole course, which dates back to 1927, has a classic design that is player friendly enough for all skill levels, though it's best for beginners. It's even gentle enough for junior players who want to get some practice with a full-length course. The course meanders through the Olmsted-designed D.W. Field Park and offers scenic views throughout. It's a driver-friendly layout with generous landing areas on nearly every hole. Only one fairway bunker comes into play. D.W. Field Golf Course's challenges come from the small greens, many of which are elevated, sloping, or multi-tiered. There are two reachable par 5s as well as a few tough holes, including the uphill 13th hole.

Ok
This course was ok. It was very dusty and the fairway is somewhat worn. The staff is friendly.
Course on the up and coming.
I was very agitated seeing that the posted price was $30.00 on golf now and DW Field did not acknowledge that because their prices raised to $35.00. Not a big difference but it was more of the principle. Looking on the positive side of things the tee boxes and greens were immaculate. The fairways need a lot of work. Word is thy have a new greens keeper and is just about to start working on the fairways. This was the reason they raised the prices
Good value public course
Not very difficult but everyone from single digit to high handicap players can enjoy this course. It is in good condition and moves along well during the week but is slow playing on weekends.
A am at DW
Nice track, at first thought course could use some water but thinking what Crenshaw did with pinehurst #2 for US Open, course was in good shape.
Fairways could still use some water though, bh teens in great shape, Tee boxes in great shape.
Will return . Staff very friendly. Great value.
Where are the fairways?
I booked this course on a hot deal for $29. 1st of all the staff was friendly. Now onto the course. Couldn't tell where the fairway ended n rough began. Greens were in ok decent shape. The pace of play was EXTREMELY SLOW as I waited on almost every hole and it took over 5 hours to play 18.
Decent muni with muni clientele
Greens are in great shape for a muni. Nice layout. A good mix of holes. The course is in pretty good condition as well. They're obviously doing their best to maintain, but not doing anything above and beyond. For the price, it's a good value. Beware to those who prefer good etiquette among the patrons. The quality of play and lack of general golf understanding (yelling, backwards hat, no sign of ready golf anywhere and feeling like you're in a war zone with the close holes and high percentage of errant shots) can take away from an otherwise good golf experience. If you're looking for a cheap round and have a couple beginners with you that may feel intimidated by the upper echelon courses, give D-dubbs a try!
Slow pace of play
There is no ranger monitoring pace of play which allows for slow players to hold the entire course up. There was a twosome who was aweful and took way too long to hit every shot in front of us. After the first hole me and another player waited 20 minutes with 3 groups waiting on the tee because if this slow group. A ranger must be present for this reason. Poorly managed.
It's Dw
Haven't been in years, had memories of this course taking a long time to play 18 but I guess that's if you play later in the day, teed off at 745 and was done by 1130. Was in pretty good shape for Dw. Slicers beware of the hole with the condos off to the side
Rough
Course in need of major repairs/ maintenance? Don't think they even started the fall cleanup? its spring? paths a mess, grounds beat up,
