Don't play!!
Worst course I have played in years .Crab grass and bare spots on most greens. A few on the back were a little better. Weeds everywhere. .Lost balls in rough due to heavy grass and weeds.
Terrible greens
We were excited to play at this course only to be disappointed in the conditions of the course overall. The greens were very poor with lots of ruts and even weeds growing. Some of the flag poles were held together with duct tape that was not secured to the pole, flapping about. This could be a very nice course, but seems to have fallen into disrepair. We were there on a Saturday and the course was only sparsely populated with golfers, so the positive side was we were able to move along very quickly. Love to see this course well maintained.
Swampville
Bunkers and greens have weeds growing out of them. I see why it was dead at 7am. I understand some dampness after the rain storms, but it has gone down hill big time after last year. Charging 70 dollars for a weekend round with those conditions? I don’t think I would go back until the bunkers and greens are fixed. Pace of play was great, clubhouse people were great, even the cart girl was out early, however when the parking lot has 25 cars on a holiday weekend, not good
Lakeville Country Club issues
The tee boxes were in very rough shape. The fairways in a lot of spots are dirt and need grass to grow. The greens were in good shape.
What Happened To This Course???
20 years ago this was me and my golf buddies go to place for a good round. Over the last three visits this place has gone totally downhill.
Conditions are the worst I’ve ever seen. 92° with high humidity and no drinking water on the course. There was one trash can per nine holes and the course was littered with empty beer cans, Candy wrappers, cigarette butts and basically just garbage.
If I did not know the course I would have trouble getting to the next T as there are minimal markers other than hand drawn wood signs with black magic marker arrows.
The carts had a 90° rule but every time you went 90° the cart would shut down and crawl asking you to get back to the carat path. Cart computers were disconnected and were constantly sounding alerts asking if you wanted to use the computer I scorecard. You could not turn it off or turn down the volume.
Yardage markers were nonexistent except on the t boxes and they were overgrown with weeds. Staff was nonexistent and we were told just to go play and pay when we were done because all the computers were down. (Same situation last two visits). All greens were infected with crabgrass then we had to go with a 2 foot gimme rule.
The silver lining is nobody’s playing this course and we just walked on on a Sunday morning at 7 AM and we finished at 10:45.
I would not recommend this course especially at a cost of $70. I’m not a cheapskate and do not mind paying but do not think this course is worth more than $40 including card.
My son was home from leave from the military so we made the best of it and created some great memories regardless.
To the owners- please up your game or put the course on the market already so someone with better business acumen can take over and make it what it used to be.
A real poor excuse for a golf course
I played here a few times over the years this course has declined so bad it is sad some of the greens are almost unplayable it looks like the holes have been in the same spot on the greens for weeks there is clover everywhere the tee boxes are terrible and for 70 dollars it is NOT WORTH IT it seems like ownership could care less
Not kept up
Greens are horrible. Crab grass growing up all in them. Rough is real rough. Hasn't been cut in quite awhile
Course is usually in bad shape and the golf carts there make it an awful experience. Wouldn't recommend even at a hot deal price.
