West at Eagle Valley Golf Course
About
The West Course at Eagle Valley Golf Course winds through the Carson City foothills at the base of the Eastern Sierra. The links-style layout features an interesting variety of holes that provide a formidable test for even the most advanced players. The fairways are lined with native desert vegetation that grows tall enough to provide some challenge and several water hazards are strategically placed throughout. The dramatic elevation changes in the rolling landscape also require forced carries. Accuracy is vital to doing well on the golf course, offering a true risk-and-reward experience. For golfers wanting a more relaxed round, Eagle Valley offers the less daunting East Course.

EV - West
Overall a good value for the price. The course had a few rough spots due to the harsh winter we had. I would play it again.
Good course, relatively inexpensive
Good course layout with some hills and water. Greens were bumpy with som breaks. Cart girl was friendly and the beer and water were cheap.
Course needs some time
We haven't played there in 3 weeks because the course was not in very good shape, so we tried it again. Not much improvement: fairways better, greens horrible, and some sand traps need some attention. We mentioned this before and hopefully you will do this, and that is to put little white posts/poles opposite the cart paths along the fairways (not in the middle) to indicate 150yds, that way we can gauge where we are cuz we don't own a GPS tool. Don't need red or blue ones for 100 or 200, the 150 would be great!! THANKS.
Fun course to play
Greens in so-so conditions. Otherwise, was a fun course to play.
Eagle Valley West
Nice course I’ve played many times. Not in top condition because of excess water drainage from surrounding mountains. One problem with layout makes it sometimes possible for players to start on the back nine by jumping ahead of golfers making the turn to the back nine. This has been a long standing problem that has not been adequately prevented and it causes considerable irritation to players who properly follow the rules.
Tough Winter!
1st time out on West course this season. The harsh winter seem to have taken a toll on it. Lots of swampy & wet areas. Many dead spots. Needs some TLC & time to heal.
Friday
The course needs a little longer before it shapes up. The greens need some green grass to grow through, they were brown and very fast. One thing we would like to see (and it can't be that expensive) is that you put in some white poles/posts to show us where the 150 yd proximity to the hole is. Don't need a blue marker or a red marker, we can gauge the distance with just the white one. Also, if you decide to do this, please don't put them in the middle of the fairway, along the fairway opposite the cart paths would be great!!!! THANKS for listening.
West side
Play the west side it more challenging and better views watch out for snipers at the gun range have fun
windy
When we first arrived it wasn't too windy, but it got stronger as the day went on. The course was in better shape than we anticipated for only being open 2 weeks. It needs some thicker/greener grass to grow in on the greens~they were super fast. When it warms up a bit, we would like to see the cart paths fixed up so they don't ruin your new carts. THANKS.
Course in good shape for early Spring
Course was in good shape particularly the greens. Nice open fairways and fun to play.
Eagle Valley is great, however golf now not great!
Golf now is horrible to use. Scheduled golf with carts, when we got there no golf carts available. We scheduled for west course and it was not available when we got there. Eagle Valley explained they told Golf Now their west course was not open and no carts available and Golf Now failed to put it online. It’s is a very nasty way to do business and rip golfers off.
Eagle Valley is a great place to golf. Their West Course is the best course. Staff is great and friendly!
