Snow Mountain at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort
About
There are three championship courses at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, all of which were designed by Pete Dye. Snow Mountain is the original course, joined by Sun Mountain, which is considered the easiest of the three, and Wolf is the newest and most challenging.
At over 7,600 yards, Wolf is also the longest course in Nevada but Snow Mountain is quite lengthy as well at 7,146 yards. Dye incorporated his signature railroad-tie bunkers and water comes into play on seven holes. This risk-reward layout is known for having the best par-3s at the resort. One of these is the stunning 16th hole with its panoramic view of Sheep Mountain. It requires a long carry over water but the bailout area to the right provides a relatively easy up and down and the greenside bunkers don't usually come into play.
Also known as Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort - Nu-Wav-Kaiv Course.

Worth iy
Greens are stupid fast and it is very windy. But worth playing
Great course
Excellent desert golf course at an excellent value. If you can grab a discounted price here, do not hesitate. You won’t regret playing any of the Pete Dye designed courses at Paiute and Snow Mountain is a great course to start with. Wife fairways, fairly challenging layout offering risky shortcuts to those who can carry a long drive, and we’ll maintained greens. The greens do tend to be fairly flat and easy to play unlike Sun or Wolf courses at Paiute. Friendly staff, nice carts with gps, and outstanding practice facilities. Do not miss any of the Paiute courses while golfing in Vegas.
Ps. Paiute can get quite windy frequently even when Las Vegas has no winds. Expect to have a breeze if you play here.
One of the best in Las Vegas
A must play course!!!
Bring your Knockdown shots!
This has to be one of the friendliest Dye Course I've played and the weather was perfect when We started but dark clouds came from the north and although we did not get rained on, the winds picked up to 30mph and had to adapt to hitting low shots to advance the ball, Nice dry fairways and got a ton of roll downwind, Greens were challenging putting in the wind.. Overall POP was 4 hrs and we had a lot of fun. Thank You Paiute Tribe.
Beautiful
Everything was wonderful. All amenities are top notch. Only complaint was the wind...
Another good Pauite outing
Despite my poor play and the difficult Snow Mountain course I still enjoyed my time at the resort.
One Picturesque Course
Snow Mountain Course one of the most picturequest courses I've ever played. The layout is very Pete Dye, I loved it probably one of his best works! The par 3's challenging but fair. The par 5's long but again fair. I feel it's important to play from the correct tees here because of the temperature variation and wind at least the day we played. Par 4's very good, you can definitely score hitting the fairway is a must with that said the fairways are generous. Greens today were lightning fast, I'm okay with fast greens they rolled true for sure. Honestly did not want the round to be over. Beverage cart had great offerings, pro shop was top of the line, very well stocked. I will visit here again next time I'm in Vagas! I heard great things about the restaurant but we did not eat. Price was very good, I've definitely paid more for a lesser golf experience. We done Paiute, Snow Mountain Course
Scenic Beauty
Great panoramic views of the mountains. Weather was phenomenal. 15th hole is a Par 3 Island green.
Great Course, but Slightly Overrated
Paiute has a reputation for being one of, if not the best place to play in Vegas. The course was in good shape and we got pretty solid weather for mid-December, but nothing about the course gave me the impression that I was playing a truly elite Vegas golf course.
I've played about a dozen courses in Vegas and I'd put this one in the middle of the pack. There are plenty of places around the city where you can get equal or even better golf for significantly cheaper. Also, if you're trying to get in a quick round while it town, keep in mind that Paiute is 30-40 minutes away from the Strip.
Wind and cold
We loved the course and everything associated with it. Unfortunately we picked a very cold and windy day to play. My Birthday! My wife and I made the best of it and have committed to go back under better conditions.
Cold & wind
Loved the course, however it was very cold and windy.
Would love to play it again under better weather conditions.
Great course as usual.. the wind made the round not as enjoyable but there is nothing you can do about the weather
Wind Swept Beauty
Played the Las Vegas Paiute Snow Mountain course on a day when the winds blew over 30 MPH. The staff was friendly and professional. The locals we played with told us that the wind blows like that 70% of the time. It was a lot of fun, even in the wind. Play 40-50 yards of wind if you're hitting right into it. No joke! The course is very fair. If you miss the forgiving fairway you will find your ball but will have to hit off of sand or rock. Tough on your irons, but fun as a new challenge. The seafood chowder in the clubhouse is great, as is the view of Snow Mountain as you are eating. The pro shop is full of great merch. Absolutely would recommend it!.
