Desert Pines Golf Club
About
Desert Pines Golf Club is often referred to as "The Pinehurst" of Las Vegas. It offers a Carolina sandhills experience, yet is conveniently located just minutes from downtown or the Strip. This Dye design features thousands of mature pine trees lining the well-groomed fairways where white sand bunkers protect large, undulating, bent grass greens. Because of the large number of pine trees, often times this course is cooler than other courses in the heat of the summer. Although there are no forced carries, water comes into play on 9 of the 18 holes.

Good
I really like playing at this course. First time here would definitely play here again. The only thing that we didn’t like was how many twosomes were playing. We were a foursome and after allowing three twosomes play through we didn’t allow anymore to go pass us. Mind you our round was 4.5 hours which was good pace of play. The course just allowed too many twosomes. Others golf course would pair two twosomes together. But other than that staff was friendly and conditions were good for this time of year.
It's gotten alot better
They cleaned up the bunkers. And cut the rough down some.Fairways and greens are in good shape. Drain on cartpath on 8 has been backed up for over 3 months. All in all, it's a nice course with a friendly staff.
Hi U, Thank you for leaving this review of our Golf Course. We're glad you enjoyed our improvements and the staff. hope to see you back soon! Bill W- General Manager
The trees were properly placed
It’s a great golf course to play with your betting buddies
Hi U! Glad you had a great time at Desert Pines Golf Club. We hope you won lot's of money! lol... Hope to see you back again soon. Bill W- General manager
Fun and Tricky
What a cool course! When I arrived I was concerned because the exterior doesn't look that appealing. I thought I made a mistake booking it. But once I tee'd off, I was pleasantly surprised at the conditions and how focused you have to be to keep the ball in play. I had a great time... so much so that I came back and played it again two days later and shot one of the lowest scores I've ever shot. I'll be coming back the next time I'm in town.

Slow slow slow
Only saving grace for this course was the beverage cart and snack shack. 6 hour round and a Marshall who does nothing. Would it recommend at all.
Horrible day
Over booked, every 8 minutes, couldn't even get half in 3 hours time on short course. Left my wallet in the cart and of course they stole it, went back and hour later because of traffic and the cart boys wouldn't fess up, because It had $900 cash in it, from my buddy paying me back he betting debts......
Quite obviously they found it and kept it. Jerks.
Ghetto area too... Trash all over. Driving range was a joke. Screw this place
Nice place---Nice Pace
This is a good golf course and the pace of play was excellent---a little under four hours. That alone makes me want to come back. Thank you Desert Pines.
900 dollars
I have to defend the workers at desert pines golf course. They are a very good honest bunch of people there. When I go golfing I don't bring nine hundred dollars cash. If I lose my wallet, it's my respossibility for being so careles.I left my range finder there. One time called them up when I got home and they had it. Even if they didn't have it I can't blame somebody else for my carelessness.
Great venue for the money
Nice course, layout, condition of the course is great for the price that we paid
A course promotion to encourage everyone to repair their ball marks on the green plus one or two others may help. Way too many unprepared divots. Greens were shaggy. Good layout.
Place needs water
It’s a solid track. People were amazing. Bar is good. ProShop helpful. It just needs a little love and I assume that’s from water issues in the are restricting how the club can be maintained.
Good course
Nice staff, good layout. Pace of play was good.. Large chunks off grass cutting were everywhere in the rough and the area around the bunkers was unplayable and usually meant a lost ball.
