PLAYED LOCHMERE FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS PAST WEEKEND. HAD HEARD NICE THINGS ABOUT THE COURSE BUT WASN'T IMPRESSED AT ALL. RATE FOR THE MORNING WEEKEND WAS 49$. IN MY OPINION DEFINATELY WASN'T WORTH IT. COURSE WAS VERY SHORT, BUT GREENS WERE GUARDED WELL. JUST DIDN'T LIVE UP TO THE WORD OF MOUTH AND REVIEWS THAT I RECIEVED.
played Lochmere in Cary, NC (near Raleigh and Durham) on July 21, 2003. Picturesque course with a number of water holes arranged in a community of nice houses. Mature woods all around. Several of the greens are well guarded by bunkers making the course overall quite challenging, but fair for the high handicap golfer. The greens were a bit "hairy" and was the only thing which seemed out of place considering the overall quality of the course.
Now for the good part: they are running a special during the summer weekdays in which one pays normal price ($29 after 10.00am) and one gets unlimited golf with a cart, unlimited range balls, and unlimited sandwiches and sodas in the grill. Excellent value, and I was sorry that I didn't get the chance to play twice. Enjoy.
If you have never been to Augusta National and The Masters Golf Tournament, you can't fully appreciate the greatness of the course or the event. Everyone should have the opportunity to experience The Masters Golf Tournament. Why not make this your year !!
Price Range:
2105 - 12500
