best value in the triad, staff are really cool
I walked the course as a single without a tee time. The course is maybe in the best condition I have seen it as the greens are rolling really nicely. For those who have never played the course, the layout is really a fun course with those playing from the tips needing to use all of the clubs in the bag. That said, there are a number of ways to play this course. The staff are really a nice group of guys. Every time I play the course I really consider buying an annual golf pass as it's such a great deal.
Very disappointed
Have played reynolds park alot in the past so i like the layout, but saw a add in a local golf magazine with headline COME PLAY OUR OVERSEEDED FAIRWAYS spring of 2018 so though would be nice to play on some nice green fairways. I cant believe they are advertising this, fairways are brown and dormant bermuda, alot of very thin areas, not even a good layer of dormant grass. Absolutely not overseeded. Had one short hole that had green grass. Very disappointed felt like was lied to.i will say there greens were nice rolled smooth. The other turn off is this is a good municipal course, gets alot of play but we are out there a group of 6 playing golf not doing anything were not supposed to dressed properly go in the pro shop at the turn, pro shop guy tells one in our group to turn his hat around out here at this course. Fist of all people say we have to grow the game of golf, and get young people into the game so tell someone the cant wear there hat backwards at this local muni and turn people off to this game is not very smart. And just to let you know 4 of the guys in our group are members at private course so we are not a ruff crowd. Tools like this guy in the pro shop are reason alot of young people wont play golf. All in all we wont be back
Gem of a Course Hidden in Plain Sight
Not sure why I don't play Reynolds Park more often. Playing in the early fall the course was in reasonably good shape overall (the fairways were cut a bit long for my taste), and the greens were immaculate. IMMACULATE. True and challenging. Course offers a nice combination of uphill and downhill, long and short, left and right bending holes. There are some greenside bunkers but for the most part the green complexes are open in front (except for a couple of par 3s that you have to carry all the way to the green).
Although the price gap between the riding discount of $25 and whatever walking costs can't be that much, the course is relatively walkable. I'm looking forward to ditching the electric buggy next time.
