Go to practice 9
Live right in the area, can get hot deals for a great price combine the reward and you play 9 with a cart for $5 bucks. Great 9 to practice on use the driver first three holes put in the bag until 9 and work your irons for some strokes. Staff is friendly and has allowed me as a single to play through before or start on different holes when appropriate. Putting green is too small.
Slow play
The pace of play is very slow and it was disappointing that the Golf Now fees were 50% of the "Hot Deal" charge. The total cost was almost the same as contacting the course directly. Future use of this website will be reduced as a result.
It sucked
The round didn’t happen. Too crowded.poor scheduling ruined my golf weekend experience... sad
First time playing, Labor Day weekend Review
Little Met is a short nine hole course, with three par 3s and one par 5, and most of the par 4s are quite short in length and fairly straight. Most of the greens are small and relatively flat, but a few a some extreme undulations. Notibaly the second has an extreme false front and the 7th is a Biarritz green. Little Met has slight elevation changes, but is very walkable. Fairways are unnecessarily narrow, but the hole corridors in the valley are quite wide for the most part. I wish they would take advantage of width and cut the fairways wider, as it was probably initially designed. No sand or water, only OB on left of last three holes.
It was designed by renowned Canadian golf course architect Stanley Thompson, who designed Cleveland area courses Sleepy Hollow, Big Met, Beechmont CC, and Chagrin Valley CC. Tucked away in a little valley under Fairview Hospital, it is very isolated, even from the rest of the Rocky River Reservation.
Conditions were good, greens and fairways were firm but not hard. We played in just about 2 hours, which was great considering it was a holiday weekend afternoon. There were not family tees, I think families are steered more towards Mastick Woods down the road.

Still nice golf after all these years
Despite the wet Spring so far, Lil' Met is in good shape -- tees, fairways, greens & rough. Trees seem to be trimmed back (or died?), although the leaves are still coming in. I played here 35 years ago, and it keeps getting better over time. My partners and I enjoyed it.
Great time
As a beginner this is a very nice course, very nice staff an pretty decent fairways an greens
great course
enjoy playing it we be back.
This course is always wet.
This course is always wet and therefore they do not cut the roughs and fairways as they should. You can lose a ball in the rough just off the fairway.
The greens are slow and bumpy.
This is a course for beginners, but polished golfers will fell they have wasted their money and the time they invested to play.
very quiet
great time with my son. a little cool so there was no one else on the course. great conditions thou. fairways were trim and pretty much leaf free.
Little Met
The course is own by the metropark system, so lots of trees. Easy course, not long, no sand. Greens are slooow. Very enjoyable course.
a great course for the begining golfer
All Metro courses that I have played in the Cleveland area have been in excellent condition. I would like to see more offers on this site for discounted play. I would play the courses all lot more.
