Dales at Community Golf Course
About
Located just south of Dayton amongst rolling hills, The Dales Course at the Community Golf Center facility is one of two regulation length courses that the facility offers. The Dales Course is referred to as the inside course, while the other course, the Hills Course, is called the outside course. Although the two courses are similar, the Dales Course is shorter and more suitable for less skilled players, but there are still interesting challenges nevertheless. Due to the bounty of mature trees, the fairways are relatively narrow. The terrain is rolling and water hazards come into play on a few holes.

This course has great location
This course is located in a great place. It is well maintained and the staff is wonderful.
Course in great condition. Work was done on sand bunkers. Much better
No coolers allowed !!
Great course however it was 80 degrees and there was nobody selling drinks until we came around the back nine! My father is 82 years old. Next time I’ll bring a cooler and if they won’t allow it we’ll go somewhere else!!
Two different courses at this location... Dales and Hills
Fun course.... if your looking for a nice relaxing day of golf this is the course for you!..., also a good beginner course!
Overall good value
A little construction/maintenance on #2 on both courses and a few traps with standing water, but overall the course is in pretty good shape. There's a lot of trees and some tough blind shots to challenge yourself.
Beginner course
This is the best course for beginner - relatively short and just enough level of difficulty to keep it challenging
Great course though not so challenging
Really like this course; it's great for the av-rage golfer: a bit short though there are some challenges especially on the par 3s.
The course was in incredible shape for this late in the year. Leaves coming down everywhere but the curse and rough were clear.
Nice course
For the money it's a good course. Like all in area fairways losing grass, Having to add new sand to traps. Geese causing problems on some holes. Would play it again.
Rushed
After signing in and got to the tee box was told that the course was closing at 1 o'clock for an outing. Maybe they should of told me that before I paid.
Dales
Dales is a nice course ,Play it often,Holes are easy to par.Course has been well used this year greens are beginning to recover.Sand trap are water hazards due to rain.
Short but sweet
I liked this course. Short holes, but still nice. Would be better to make bunkers grass. Bunker sand was poor.
City courses
I understand that it takes a lot of effort to run and maintain a nice golf course. With that being said, $40 to play any of the dayton city courses is just not worth it. Although the course was in good/decent shape, I'm just not willing to spend that kind of money at a course like community, Madden, or kitty hawk. I will go spend 10 more dollars and play heatherwood or pipestone. Played the dales which is a shorter course, mostly driver wedge, or driver 9.
Rain did a numberr e course
The course is usually pretty good this time of year. The non stop spring rain has filled most all of the sand traps and the greens are so soft that the unrepaired ball marks are turning to mud spots. I wont judge to harshly so wait a few days and go play community.
Course Review
The course was nice, the sand traps were a little rocky. I was not happy with the front desk person. She had me down for 4 people. I told her I only signed up for 2 and had to show her my receipt before she believed me. The other girl working there told her she had entered the information in wrong. The front desk person was rude, when there was no reason for it.
Jeff's review
Played the Dale course today - wife and I found this to be a great little course that offered us both an opportunity to work on short game and long enough to hit our woods. Hilly terrain made it interesting on a few of the holes and we thoroughly enjoyed our day of golf there. Only comment would be for a judge to keep play moving - foursome in front of us took forever and had 2-3 groups backed up behind them. Great course for the price!
Lots of good and bad
Course has some very cool holes. 18th hole teeing off from on top of the hill is a great way to end a round. Some holes are a bit crowded in with the other course and other holes. At some point you'll most likely be hitting from the fairway of a hole you're not playing. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Most sand traps were unplayable. With how on top of each other a lot of the holes are this might not be the best course if you're easily distracted while teeing off or putting. You're usually within earshot of multiple tee boxes and greens. The worst thing about this course is the staff. Every person I dealt with was extremely rude, especially a young blonde lady who was working the front desk. I'd play this course again just because it's a cool layout to shoot some really low scores while still interesting and fun. If I had to deal with the staff here more than the first few minutes of the day I would definitely not be back.
