Great course conditions for February golf. All summer grass is dormant
Overall conditions are great considering its still winter in the Tulsa area.
Not great, but not horrible
If you are a hacker, this course has mile wide fairways for you. After getting tired of playing behind two slow groups on the front nine at Woodbine, we decided to play Pecan Valley for the back nine; it was a ghost town. Not sure why either because conditions were no worse than Woodbine.
I’m not saying I’ll never go back, but I’ll put others ahead of these two.
It’s okay
Not in great shape. Greens were salted. The trees need to be cut in spots. Basically the course needs an injection of cash to fix some things.
Great course
It would be hard to find a better course for the money
The staff is always friendly
Poorly Managed!
First off, there was not a score card on the cart we were given. No problem, there's a box with score cards and pencils at the second tee box. Unfortunately, the only thing in it was someone's trash!
No Marshall so the pace of play was horrible. They do not enforce tee off times. Our tee time was 11:40, when we signed in for our cart at 11:10, the person that signed in before us had a tee time of 1:50pm and was already on the course.
This could be a fun and nice course if it was managed better!
Needs a lot of work
Needs a lot of work most holes don't have hole signs. Green could be better
Bit tired but fine for the money.
Course plays fine, fairways are reasonable and pace of play was good. The greens have a lot to be desired. Too many weeds making putts interesting to say the least.
Good course for the money. Would prefer to pay a bit more for a better maintained course.
Friendly staff
Mohawk is a great course for my family. I have a disabled son who loves to go to the golf course with me. The staff has always gone above and beyond to be friendly and accommodating. John greets us by name. Other guests have always been great here as well about pace of play compared to anywhere else I play around here. Greens are super fast. Good fun course and great place if you golf with kids.
Disappointed
With proper maintenance and a decent staff both these courses could be great. Unfortunately they have neither.
Good time to play
I have played this course many times. Right now it is in great shape due to good rain and not too extreme temperatures. The Canadian geese are plentiful right now and are doing some harsh damage to otherwise nice greens. I like that there are two courses next to each other so there are options if one is backed up. Overall fun layout with the possibility of hearing exotic animal noises from the Zoo or seeing a bald eagle fly overhead (they nest on the course).
Needs a little work
Considering how much rain we’ve had in the past month the course was extremely hard from tee to green. Thin grass on tee’s and fairway with hardpan leaving for tough shots. The greens were hard as well, but rolled pretty true you just have to look at the greens that have been sprayed with hydoseed so they all had a nice shade of green. Still not a bad course to play just needs a little TLC.
