beautiful course
We had a great day. Weather perfect. Still cart path only, but not a problem. Can't wait to play there again soon.
Great Winter Surprise
Weather sunny and low 60's.... for January?!?! Course in amazing condition for middle of winter. Greens fantastic. Pace of play good too.
give it a try
In pretty good shape for three weeks after being plugged. Great weather.tee boxes are not the flattest.a course you have to play twice.
Every hole is a different experience
Haven't played this course in years, and I forgot how interesting it is. Certainly not boring as every hole is a different experience from all the rest. Lots of elevation changes, and I recommend riding if you're not in good physical condition. Its worth the trip. Lots of fun.
Unique course with lots of fun characteristics
Had a great time on Indian creek. We Played 18 holes walking. It is a tough course to walk and will definitely give you a workout with all the hills and stuff. Good course, not too hard to read. Some holes on the front nine have really tight fairways. Be prepared to hit straight shots. Most of all, it was the beautiful scenery and lush green grass that got me.
Superb Layout
Great design. Not long, but you can tell the designer was thinking. Elevated greens, short par 4's, lots of lay up shots from the tee for longer hitters. very good condition. fairly fast greens. you really have to think your way around the course and the wind forces constant club selection and positioning decisions. great course in my opinion.
First tournament
The course was in fantastic condition! I liked the twosome we were paired with. I would strongly suggest playing the course when the temp is not over 90 degrees, however. One great thing is that the carts all come with detailed yardages to a wide variety of trouble spots (bunkers, water, etc) for each hole from each tee box. It's a challenging walking course, so you'll get good exercise.
A nice 18 to add to the Year
I am from Beaverton, OR and try and play as many new courses as I can each year and yet try and find good greens, well groomed courses, challenges (within reason) and an above average pace of play. Indian Creek has all of these. Add the that the amazing views and its worth the drive from just about anywhere. One unique feature is there are few150 yard markers, but many 100 Yard markers. This shorter course has a couple long (175 & 199) par 3's and several 300 plus par 4's. I cannot wait to play it again to plan whether I want to go for the greens from 100 or 150.
Great Course
Despite the windy condition, this course was awesome. The rough was a little longer than expected, the greens were fast and the fairways were awesome. The only fairway issue was on 17 at the bottom of the lay-up area infront of the ropes, the ground was a little soft.
Would go back to play this course again.
Stunning views
I played front 9 early in the morning. The course offers great views of Mt. Adams and Mt. Hood.
It's relatively short but the wind makes it challenging.
The course is in great condition.
Nice Course
Beautiful views on golf course of surrounding mountains. Challenging golf course with some long walks between green and next tee.
Beautiful
One of the best courses I have ever played. Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams are awesome. The view is spectacular.
Short but challenging
No wind on the day I played, but you can see what a challenge that would bring. The course is in great condition and the staff and locals are very friendly.
The Wind was it normal 15-20 mph
Great Sunny day, got teamed up with two local women who played great and another Portland single who came out for the great deal.
Beautiful Gem!
This great course has a place in my heart! It is unique with lots of character. The views of Mount Hood are spectacular. The greens putt true, the fairways are beautiful, and it feels luxurious to me. The staff is always friendly. I really recommend Indian Creek Golf Course. It's a breathtaking scenic drive up the Columbia River Gorge from Portland...well worth the trip!
Overpriced for the value
For the price to play this course, it is in poor shape. It's a case of "we can charge a lot and make a brand and people will think we are great." Not the case. There are clumps of mowed grass all over the place. I expect that from your normal $10 per 9 hole course. But not here. The gentleman at the pro-shop was not very nice. I would not pay more than $10 a nine here. Now with a little extra TLC, and a reduction of price this course will be appropriate, but it is currently mis -aligned. I would highly suggest only doing Golf-Now deals here.
The Good: The restaurant was fantastic, the staff outside is slow, but it is always slow(Fortunately, I'm never in a hurry), the staff inside is prompt.
Oh and for the guy in the yellow shirt that we let play through. You have to be way better than that to ask to play through. You held us up. LOL
Great greens on the front.
Picked the right day no wind, The course was in good shape. Back side greens where a little slower than the front. Coulhave been rolled to even out the speed.
Fantastic course, well maintained.
Forecast said dry so booked tee time the night before. Woke up to rain. Got to the course 90 minutes before, had lunch and watched the rain stop and start. We decided to go out anyway and we're glad we did. Even though we got soaked a few times, the beauty and challenge of the course made it worthwhile. Will definitely make the drive to golf here again..
Short cource but very challenging
I bought a hot deal while traveling Portland area for the labor day. The restaurant was excellent for both lunch and dinner. From GPS, the course was very short, so I played very aggressive to reach most of the par 4s in one but I was dump enough to lose many balls. We were totally lost after #1. Need to mark where the #2 hole is. Very difficult to find the holes based on the course map. Highly recommending to use a card. Great course and well maintained in over-all.
Indian Creek is a scenic course and a good value.
The course was in pretty good shape, particularly the greens. At times the course is very narrow leaving little or no room for mistakes. The views of Mt. hood to the south and Mt. Adams to the north, along with the other scenery made this a visually satisfying experience. This course is tough for some to walk because of the distance between some greens and the next tee box along with the undulations in elevation. Definitely worth the visit - and then after your round, visiting one of the many brew pubs in town makes it a nice one day get-away.
