Hilton Head Island, South Carolina 29928
Beaufort County

Course Description: This challenging course offers a variety of golf holes meandering throughout the Sea Pines plantation with wooded as well as picturesque lagoon and marsh views.
An assortment of well-bunkered greens requires good shot placement to score well and are generally sloped from back to front. This is not a very long course from the back tees, but is considered by locals as a good test of golf.
This course was recently renovated, (1995), and reflects the excellent condition which characterized all Sea Pines golf facilities.

Played Sea Marsh on 7/11/-03. Found the course to be in excellent shape. Fairways were like carpet, best I've ever been on that's for sure. Greensd had some sandy spots but rolled true and were in good shape. Bunkers wre all raked out and nice. Tee boxes were good too. The GPS systems in the cart wre the best I've ever seen in a cart and as we could go 90 degrees on the fairways you could always count on accurate distances to green and flag. The GPs even had a nice function allowing you to move a crosshairs on the green showing distance to any point on the green. Very nice feature. Only bad occurance happened with the drink cart girl!! I hit my drive right in front of the cart and it bounced over towards the OB stakes to her side. She gets out of the cart and goes over, picks up my ball and procedes to bring it to me while still on the tee!! I explained to her this was not a good idea. Upon reading her name tag I find out she is here from Argentina. Must not play golf in Argentina. But you would think this would be a basic thing to explain to all the drink cart girls but Sea Maesh seems to have overlooked this. All in all a grat course tho' and I would play here anytime.
