Pine Lakes Country Club
About
Elegant and upscale at every turn, the 62-room antebellum clubhouse has been a must for photographers since its completion in 1927. When the azaleas bloom in the spring, it was in this setting that Henry Booth Luce's famed "Sport Illustrated" was founded in 1954.
From the white-gloved caddy master, to the on course chef, everything about Pine Lakes is bathed on old-fashioned class and charm. Although the clubhouse is completely private for the club members, at present, arrangements have been made for guest play through a very select group of member hotels. Should you be fortunate enough to stay at one of these facilities, we suggest you make it a point to visit this classic.

Very beutifull course
This course was in amazing condition considering the amount of rain this area had prior to our visit. Very nice course, will play this course again when I return to the area
Fantastic Value & Great Experience
My son and I played Pine Lakes on a recent trip to Myrtle Beach. We found the course in fantastic condition and a real joy to play. Fairways and greens were well maintained and clean. The staff and service was also fantastic. I appreciated the extra grace they provided me even though I was late to my tee time. Will play again.
Fun time at great course
So don't believe your gps for arriving at the course nor are there any kilts to be seen but it is a friendly staff that greats you and a fun course to play.
Same ol routine
I made the mistake of playing this course again on this trip to Myrtle Beach. Forgot I played it last time.
Same ol issue here, lots of help at the club house and a beautiful course but no one on the course monitoring play. We played along quickly on the front nine but when we got to the back nine, the 2nd group in front of us was 3 holes behind.
They had lost so many balls they were looking for balls in the grass and pulling them out of the lakes.
Last time had same issue., plenty of friendly help at the club house wanting the tip for taking your bag and cleaning your clubs and a beautiful course but no one monitoring the course play.
One other item, can't get into the course unless you drive to the north, when you can get the course right off of business 17 but they won't let you through the gate.
Course was under repair, was not notified beforehand
The greens were recently aerated with 3/4 inch long grass and sand all over. This was not listed on the website, nor did they tell me when I called to get a later tee time, nor for $77 did I expect to see that. My group was almost the only group out there, except for a guy by himself and another two-some. Six people total. We should have rainchecked and went somewhere else, because the course was unplayable. I cannot give an accurate review of the course because of the conditions.
Wonderful condition
Original Myrtle Beach course. Old line club, well maintained and challenging. Crowded, but staff kept pace of play well in hand so no problem. Would play this course again.
This course is awesome.
Very nice course. Fairways are fantastic along with the greens. Like that there were really no tricked up holes but just challenging golf holes for every level.
No management of play
By the 4th hole, there were 4 groups stacked at same hole. It was clear they put monies in the cash register ahead of the golf experience for the paying customers. Never saw a Marshall/Ranger trying to improve the pace. Nearly 6 hours for 18 holes. They need not worry about disappointing my group in the future. We won't play there again.
Great value, great conditions and great staff..
First time back since renovations. This course is now a must play if you are going to MB. Conditions are improved and the staff is fantastic. Pace of play was decent and the new greens roll great.
