River Place Country Club

Riverplace is target golf at its best. The course is short on yardage, but not on challenge. It is beautiful and is kept in great shape. You really need to know where to miss on this course because it can be punishing. It is kept in great shape and is a great golfing experience.

First time played this course it's a fun course. The green are super fast. Use the cheat sheet, help a lot. The fairway always demand a draw tee shot. Highly recommend it.

Great staff, from the parking lot with Michael to Glenn in the pro shop, both of them explaining the course. Tip... follow the tip sheet for each hole that they provide! If you can't, it will be a long day. Not a beginner course. Felt like I was playing a course from back home in Colorado, with the elevation changes, slopes, and undulations. Fairways and greens in great condition, they only thing that keeps it from getting a 5 for course conditions was the temporary tee boxes on 3-4 holes. Can't wait to get back out here. If you do not shoot below 90 this would be a tough course. Still worth the money

Excellent greens, great views, a little tricky due to unforgivable ravines in front of many greens, depending on tees used layups can be wise.

recently redone bunkers were great although I only hit into 1. Greens are coming along well. "cheat sheet" giving before you head out has useful information. Very short course that requires some precise distance shots.

This course is very good and beautiful. Green is very good condition. This course is short less than 6000yards but it is not short to play. Course is little hard and also have lot of challenges. I want to go to play again if I have chance.

In my opinion, This is one of the best courses around central Texas. If you can make the time you won't be disappointed.

A beautiful course located in the NW hills of Austin looked better than ever with all the rain we have had the last several weeks. The tee boxes are in great shape and as always set to trick you and challenge you with your set up teeing up.
The fairways are challenging as ever with a perfect lawn maintenance and incline direction so if you slice your tee box shot, good luck! As always, aim to the left side of the uphill so the ball rolls to the middle of the farway. It is better said than done.
The greens are wide and open but the outage edges need some work to make them perfect.

I hadn't played Riverplace in over 15 years and had forgotten how beautiful the course was. My partner kept proclaiming, "I love this course!" It would be my first choice to take a visitor to get a taste of Texas hill country golf.

Extremely hilly and dangerous course. I can see how it would be fun to play the 3rd or 4th time but the first couple of times will beat you up now matter how good of a golfer you are. Now that I have taken my licks and lost my share of balls, I'm ready to go back and take on this punishing course and see what I'm made of.

Would play this course again to figure it out. Some of the hole were very tricky but fun.putting was difficult greens were very fast are very slow. Which made for fun overall the round was very entertaining.

Breathtaking views of Hill Country scenery. A fun and interesting layout with significant elevation changes. Despite not being a long course it is quite challenging. Fair-sized fairways but very penal rough. Course was in great condition except for new sand in bunkers that hadn't settled in yet, so short-irons that carried in tended to plug deeply. Friendly, accommodating staff.

Excellent course design, plenty challenging yet forgiving. Greens and fairways are what you'd expect for this type of course. Plush and smooth. Great views, not crowded. Valet service, and beverage cart non existent the day we played. That along with non GPS carts left a little something to be desired. Overall a great experience otherwise.

Everything about this course was great. Well kept and the beautiful weather contributed nicely. This course is TOUGH though. Lots of blind shots, hazards, and a couple narrow fairways.

The only complaint I have was the guy in the pro shop. I made a mistake when booking so I called the course to make an extremely small change and he bit my head off. The same guy (recognized his voice, very distinct) was there when I checked in and was polite, but definitely condescending. The course marshals were all awesome though as was everyone else with whom I interacted. If it weren't for that pro shop guy, I would be heavily considering membership to this course; it's that good. A must play.

No doubt this is a beautiful golf course, but it's just not fun to play unless you are very low handicap.
There is almost no room for error on any shot, and the shots you do hit down the middle of the fairway can often times roll through/off the fairway due to severe inclines and into a ravine.

I challenge anyone to tell me where to hit the ball on #14. Any shot in the fairway will leave you with a shot with the ball is at least 6"-10" below your feet.

The staff was really helpful and friendly at all levels. The course was in great shape especially compared to other courses in the area at this time of year. The layout is beautiful. Really a great total gold experience!
