I have played quite a few golf courses on the east coast and this is by far the most beautiful and challenging course of them all. If you play well here you know that you have accomplished something great, and if not you still will have enjoyed a great round of golf. Either way you will lose track of how many times you look around and say "wow, this is just amazing". And as you wind your way along cart paths, that seem more like nature trails, you are so anxious just to see what treat the next hole will provide. Whether it is a beatiful open view of the distant mountains or a cozy little holler, they all are unique. And there is never a shortage of deer who seem to be just interested in your game as you,and who also seem to have the common etiquette to stay fairly still while you are hitting. I was lucky enough to grow up there and although the course is only about ten years old, I have had well over a hundred rounds there. I could go on forever about the beauty and the challenges of playing but I think it is easiest said saying that every one of those rounds was one of my favorites of all time. I just played there twice while home visiting and just as always they were two of the best rounds ever. I did not shoot the best scores but no other course gives me cold chills just to be out there. Its enough to bring a tear to your eye. It is what golf should always be. Oh yea bring plenty of balls, and a couple rolls of film! Enjoy!
