Peaks at Tonto Verde Golf Club
About
The Tonto Verde Golf Club offers two uniquely testing 18-hole championship golf courses, each featuring marvelous vistas, smack dab in the middle of the Arizona desert, which have earned honors for their design and playability. The golf courses were designed by David Graham and Gary Panks, who kept the features created by nature when they put together the Peaks golf course, which measures 6,744 yards.
The two golf courses at the Tonto Verde Golf Club feature desert-style target-golf designs, but the designers ensured that golfers of all levels would be able to play them.
The Peaks golf course at the Tonto Verde Golf Club is laid out shorter and skinnier from the tees than its sibling, the Ranch golf course; however, it doesn't offer any less of a challenge for golfers of all levels.

Will Play Again
Course and greens were in great shape.
Playing it more than once can help knowing what shots to make from the tee
Great course
Course was in great condition. Pace of play was posted at 4 hr 15 minutes. Exactly right.
Are visitors welcome?
Outstanding facilities, we felted very wecoleme at first after a short warmup we were invited to start 22 min early of our scheduled tee time ...that have probably confused the management, thinking that we were slowing the course down for everyone behind us. It came to a point that the course marshal wanted us to picked up our ball and move ahead for no reason whatsoever, this dispute affected the rest of our game in a fake rush. even the twosome trailing us never caught up just... to show you!
hope this will be a lesson to learn( food for tought!)
Favourite course
My new favourite course here in the Scottsdale area. Great deal on GolfNow. Course was in excellent condition. Good pace of play. No complaints at all. Will return
Nice play to play
First game in Arizona of my life and I was not desapointed. Nice fairways and greens are not too fast but tough to read. Back nine is nicer than the front nine.
Fun and ever nice course
Great course not to hard and combo tee's let u pick right distance for your game my wife played gold silver combo the shorter distance brought more par 4&5 into play that really made it fun for her.greens rolled and looked great wish we had time to play 18 hole putting course oh well maybe next time.
Excellent course! Staff is very customer oriented!
Rio Verde
course was nice lay out. fun to play in great shape great views of south west
A little drive.
This course was a pleasant surprise. A little drive out there, but the course was in great shape and the staff was very friendly and very helpful. Will be looking to come back soon.
Great course
Pace of play was excellent - just over three hours for the twosome I was in. Great course conditions and exceptional deal on GolfNow.
Peaks
The course is in excellent shape and a beautiful location. I play it every year. The course requires precise shots, but the fairways and greens are in perfect shape. The greens are very fast and demanding. I found it challenging and a great place to begin the new year.
Another bonus is the wildlife. Watching the blue heron with the fabulous Mountain View is a thrill. This is a magic place.
Fabulous Course!
Amazing course and facilities:
Amenities: 2nd to none. Pro driving range, putting green, short game area. They have an 18 hole putting practice course that wraps around a waterfall pond. Clubhouse is one of the best ive ever seen. Just an amazing facility!!!
Experience: Course was in fantastic shape. We teed off at 9:30 and I barely saw a soul the entire round. Played 3.25 hours. Views were 4/5 and homes and architecture were great scenery.
Golf: Course had tremendous width. Plenty of room to land drives. Greens were LARGE but undulating and fast without being gimmicky. The course was perfect for my 70+ old playing partners as it was wide, but perfect challenge for me the single cap golfer because of strategic bunkering, greens that made you hit the right spot and well planned flow ways you needed to carry.
Paid $80 and it was well worth it. great experience!!!
Fast and furious
Not only the pace of play, but the speed of the greens - they were very quick. Course was in great shape and pretty empty. My only snag with my outing was that I was approached on the range by a course representative and told, "Sorry sir, but denim is not allowed on this course." I informed him that I visited their website and there were no stipulations regarding this condition. He didn't seem to be affected in any way by my comment. And all it required was for me to return to my vehicle and put on a pair of shorts. My suggestion: ease the condition(as most courses have) or make certain it's prominently placed on your site regarding no denim.
