Sun City Country Club
About
The golf course at the Sun City Country Club provides a challenging championship course in an elegant setting. The semi-private course has a tight layout with fairways that are lined with trees and bushes. The trees provide plenty of shade, a welcome asset on sunny days. The greens play at medium speed and they are consistently in good condition. Several of the greens are elevated and sloped. A water hazard comes into play on three holes on the course. The seventh, a 153-yard, par-3, hole is the signature hole. It requires a tee shot over water that has to carry at least 125 yards. The upscale Sun City Country Club offers fine dining options as well as an experienced and helpful on-site golf pro.

No Ranger
Slow, slow, slow with no ranger. Over 4 hrs. and we didn't play the last 2 holes. The only time someone from the pro shop was on the course was to tell all groups they had to have the carts in at 5:30 which was 20 minutes before sundown.
Sun City County Club
Old style course. Lots big trees. Course Wes very wet—lots of mud balls. Facilities generally run down—could use lots of work. Greens were fast but bumpy due to poor overseer. Staff was friendly and exceptional nice
Nice track
Enjoyed the course. Greens were a little spotty. Loved all the large trees lining the fairways. A little surprised when the cart shed guy came by and said bring all carts back by 5:30, a full half hour before dark. Never had that happen before anywhere.
Chorus was great
I always enjoy playing this course when I come down from Maryland. Challenging and fun.
You get what you pay for
There's nothing really wrong or right about this course.
Fairways are great. The rough is rough. The greens are difficult to read. There's not a straight putt out there.
The bunkers are garbage. But we played in under 4 hours. It's a pretty course, with a couple of interesting holes.
If I wanted an inexpensive round in the future, I'd come here again.
Solid course, n ice value
Course was in good condition. Fairways were nice shape, roughs were rough but playable, greens were smooth with a few bare spots here and there. Good value through Golf Now.
A Favorite
Always enjoy Sun City CC, one of my favorites in AZ. It’s in super shape right now, plus, we played 18 in 3.5 hours. That’s a bonus for winter golf around here. Price was very good, we booked it on a hot deal from GolfNow.
Overall a great round, would recommend it to everyone.
Respectable
To me, the most important element of any course are the conditions and especially the greens. The greens here were a little short on grass and this accentuated the high amount of slope in play. Many greens have false fronts, making front pins very tricky to get close to. And all greens provide sharp breaking putts at the hole as you lose speed. Fairways and tee boxes were fine. The dormant bermuda rough was a little thin as expected. Very friendly folks in the pro shop. Very nice ball washers on every hole. Not much roll in the fairways. Layout is fine - the course defense is on the greens and with the tree lined fairways.
First Time
Course was fun to play and was in pretty good shape. We would go back for sure and play again. It was a good value on Golf Now app so check it out.
Course is Lush Green
First time playing SCCC. Overall in good condition, though some tee boxes could use leveling. Greens were very firm (hard to hold), with fair speed. Fairways were good, with rough being very tall and thick (a challenge at times to find balls). Sand traps appeared playable (escaped them this time). Course was quite wet (needing to clean and place ball often). Pace of play was terrible for the first six holes (2 of 4 were beginners), with more than a two hole gap before them. Calling the Pro Shop got someone out to improve the situation (though damage was done, resulting in a 4 hour 20 minute round - could have been worse). Value for the round was fair. Will definitely consider returning, even with a 55 minute commute.
Nice course layout.
Good layout. Fairwairs in good shape. Greens were bumpy. Good value for what I paid.
