American Golf Club Vero Beach - Blue Course

Course needs much more work. Some fairways lacking grass , greens were also lacking grass. Upon checking in pro shop attendant gave us a hard time because we booked on golf now and demanded we show a receipt from golf now to prove we had paid. It took 1 hour after communication with golf now to finally prove to him we had booked with golf now and round was paid for in full. They have no computer at this golf course so cannot look up your booking. Ridicules a golf course to cheap to buy a computer. I would suggest if you play here to be sure to bring a print out of your booking. I would not recommend this course.

This is an old golf course that has seen better days. A gentleman we were paired with told us the course has seen much hurricane damage. But why cant the club clean it up and get it back into shape? It's as though no one cares. We will not play here again, unless much improved.

What a great little course. The area had a lot of rain in the last week so off the golf paths got pretty muddy at times and the sand traps were solid sand. The course itself was excellent and very enjoyable. One recommendation to the staff would be to mark directional signs to the next Teebox a whole lot better. Playing the blue course as our back nine you had to drive the cart about a quarter of a mile with no directional signs to find away. We had to stop homeowners on the way and ask if we were going in the right direction. In any case our foursome said we’d be glad to play this again anytime soon

Being a snowbird I booked a round of golf with my tablet. When to club house with my confirmation number but was told I needed a receipt. Of coarse I don’t have a printer being a snowbird not possible, I did have my cell but couldn’t get on their site to show receipt, because he didn’t have the password. After much argument we were allowed to play. After all this bs I find out from one of are foursome he was the owner of this cow pasture of a golf course! Never again, never again!

I got to the course early and they let me out first on course.
Very quick play. Just a very nice course get out an play.
Value.... is the key word; you get what you pay for!

There are three separate courses at this location. The Red and White courses are in very good condition and both have nice layouts and interesting challenges.
The Blue course is very challenging with many water hazards (I lost 4 balls). There is no sand in any of the traps on the Blue course and finding your way from hole to hole is difficult. Just sayin.

As my title describes the course, the greens are good. The course does not have a good drainage, the fairways are not cut close. There is an equal amount of short and long courses and challenges. An equal amount of precise shots. For the price, it is not bad.

The course plays around condos and homes with plenty of water. They are improving some of
the fairways but the greens are in great shape.

have driven by course near us1 many times in recent years but could see the condition was poor; but injured my left shoulder and didn't want to invest much $ to test myself. we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. the tees and fairways are passable and the greens are in excellent shape-roll true and with a good pace. there are three nines. we saw sand on only the "white" nine; water is frequently in play. the biggest problem is lack of signage. the courses wind through a condo development and it's easy to get lost from nine to nine; and even from some hole to hole. the course in not on my garmin gps.

I have played this course before, but not in a couple of years. It was terrible then, but much improvrd, especially greens. It is a fairly easy course with plenty of water but no sand traps. Overall good value fort the money, and no crowds.

Il n'y avait personne ou presque sur le terrain et il semblait débordé.

Il y a eu beaucoup de travail d'effectué sur le terrain l'été dernier. Les verts ont été améliorés et les allées aussi.

Nous avons joué les bleus et les rouges. La prochaine fois, nous essaieront les blancs.

We played the white and red course.
Strange that there seems to be no-one who can tell you what happening there right now. communication could be better.
we booked through GolfNow. But the caddie master told us the computer was gone because new management had taken it? $ 30 dollar is a bit much to ask.
greens looked superb, tees looked pretty and new.
A lot of work needs to be done yet.

Tee boxes and fairways need some work, but greens were in great shape. Really impressed with them from past experiences. Clubhouse was closed at 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon when I tried to get a beer which was disapointing. Overall a fun day and great value.

Shape of course is very rough. No sand traps, they let them all grow in with grass so they did not have to maintain. I paid $10 for 18 with cart and it was barely worth it.
Also arrived about in the afternoon 45 minutes before my tee time they have 3 nines with very little people there and they told me I had to wait 45 minutes before they could sign me in and give me a cart. So I putted on practice green as no one was teeing off.

Paid $10 on golf now to play 18 holes and included cart. Only negative thing about the course is the greens and sand traps could use some work. Played at 7:30 am and not many people were there. Did not get a chance to eat there but heard the food was good. I will play this course again several times.

My wife and I golfed at this course at least 6 times over the course of a month. It was very reasonable through golfnow and having 3 each 9 hole courses, it provided some variety. The greens were in very good condition considering the fees at this club. We met a few locals that we were paired up with and they were very friendly and enjoyable company. The club house had cold beer and the food was quite good. Overall it was most enjoyable and we will look forward to golfing here on our next holiday.

Great value for the play. Plus, the staff are great. Friendly and accomodating. Course conditions are good and the added wildlife makes things interesting. The courses are beautiful, challenging and fun. Can't go wrong here.

Very disappointed that this even featured on golfnow. The whole course was nothing but washout .I've played better cow pastures. The fee on golfnow was not even discounted. It was their normal greenfee all year round. Coming from 2 hours away to play what I thought would be a nice course, was absolutely a waste of time & money. Turn around!!
