Worst course ever
This is an embarrassingly neglected course that still charges $65 to play. This used to be a fun course and it is now the worst course I’ve ever played.
Absolutely gross
Absolutely gross.. I say no more. I wouldn’t play there if it was 5 bucks.
What Happened ?
This is a course I usually play a few times a year. I was surprised there were so few cars there when i arrived. I was soon to find out why. The lady doing the checkin was great, the highlight of the day. Got to the first tee and saw the shape of it. not good. In fact all the tees were poor, Normally good greens could make up for that, but frankly I dont remember the last time i played on greens this bad. Crabgrass, numerous bare spots. Fairways overgrown with honeycomb and bunkers overrun with weeds.. now compound that with carts that tell you to do the 90 degree rule and when you do 10 yards into the fairway tells you to return to cart path. As an added topper we are playing the 3rd hole look to the fifth and see A FIVESOME mid day on a Saturday, didnt make a putt outside of 3 feet but did hole out on 12 for an eagle. I know I wont be going back this year
Ok for the price
Excellent layout for practice and for family fun as well. Paid $40 w cart but would not pay more. Greens are I just ok shape and tees need work as well. T excellent layout from yesterday Year unfortunately upkeep is lacking. I’m betting he property will be homes somewhere down the road. This course needs a white knight and around $5 M for renovation and soon. Trouble here is the area is packed with golf options and all better quality. Kinda sad having played here decades ago and ran a tournament here as well. Bottom line once per year practice round is enough for any serious golfer say under 12 hdcp.
Hole directions
The signage needs improvement on the back nine. Easy to get confused .
Lakeville Country Club
The owners don’t seem to care about the course conditions. Lakeville used to be so much better than it is now. It’s a fun place to play but would not pay the full greens fee to play here.
So much potential
This course was top notch at one time. Fairways are spotty and some greens have more dirt than grass. The bunkers were not maintained at all. Is it spring golf or is this what to expect for the season? It’s a good lay out and reasonably challenging. I hope they turn it around.
Meh course
Got a great deal to only pay $24 for 18 and a cart. If you can find the deals then this course is worth it. Greens are always a bit on the rough side, bumps everywhere. Course has some great hole design it’s just not well maintained. Wouldn’t pay over $50
Not bad for winter golf
There is not much to say about winter golf.
Cheap course nice layout
Underated
Lakeville isunderrated.the jayout is great and the grounds are ok. Fairways are sketchy in some areas. Greens are the same but offer a challenge. This corse could be a top rated course with some work. Club house is good, food is good. .
Winter round
February round on a 56 degree day
Course was in good shape for mid winter. E pected temporary greens but the real greens were used and in decemt shape. Friendly staff cozy clubhouse.
Variety of holes 5-6 with water in play.
Eh....
I know it is winter golf, but the greens at the course are way below par. Mostly heavy grass of the wrong type, but surprisingly fast near the holes that haven't been changed in too long.
I've always felt that the hold order could be better, with only the last 5 holes having all of the significant water on them. Clearly this is by design as you drive past a lot of holes along the route to circle back later.
Could be much better. But love the staff and the rest of the facilities.
Not bad
I don’t know why this course is rated so low. It has kept me away for a while. I only went because it was all that was open on Jan 1st. I did not care for the layout but that could be learned. Looking forward to Flinggolfing their again.
Not that bad!!
So I read all the reviews and wanted to try it out anyway. Very nice layout. Greens were rough though, still not that bad. I definitely play again.
