Enjoyed playing here
The fairways and greens were in great shape when I played here. If you see a good deal, I would recommend jumping on it!
Great all round course.
In our area it had been raining 4 to 5 days straight. I did not want to play because of mud and water everywhere. This course was absolutely wonderful. I can imagine what it will be like in the spring. Absolutely beautiful course.
Fun and mature course in great winter condition.
I walked the course on a cold rainy day. The course was in the best condition of any of the 6-8 courses I've played this winter. Nice greens and overseeded fairways. This is a mature course with nice natural-looking ponds and wooded areas. The course isn't long, but the dog-legs and changes in elevation make it challenging. I can honestly say that this was the funnest course I've played all winter.
excellent conditions
Only course in the Charlotte market that overseeds in winter.
Smooth bermudagrass greens. Fairways are in great shape.
Pace of play a bit slow but due only to volume of play. This place is BUSY.
It is an old school golf course. Not difficult but not a "bashers' course either. The greens are small contoured.
Plan on playing many times in the future.
Nice
Course was in nice shape would play again. Great value for the money
The was entirely green (overseeded with rye grass), otherthen that, not one worth my time...
>The greens were inconsistent, but for the most part slow
>Many holes that are circus-like (not a friendly lay-out)
>No driving range
>Poor putting area
This course is one of my favorites by far.
The course offers easy to moderate to challenging holes. The elevation changes can either play into your hands or become your worst nightmares. All greens are well maintained to allow for exceptional putting opportunities.
Green fairways
One of the oldest courses in charlotte. Some short holes shot makers course. One of only around that overseed with rye, love it. Cant beat the price.
Great Value, Course is in very good shape
One of the few courses around Charlotte that overseeds for winter. Fairways are green & lush. Greens are weed free & beautifully manicured. The only course I play during the week that has a marshall tending the course.
Love This Course!!!!!!!!! Great Value!!!!!!!
I play this course once a month or so, and am always impressed with the course condition. Fairways, tee boxes are green as they can be for early December. Greens in good shape, but a little slow.
Do yourself a favor, and play this course soon!
Overseeded fairways make Larkhaven great in winter
The course is always a challenge because of the elevation changes and doglegs but the course is in really good shape which makes it even more fun.
Course is in great shape for this time of year
Fairways are green unlike all of the other courses in the area and the greens were in overall good shape but playing a little slow. It is a decision making course with some scoring holes.
We all enjoyed the course
It was the day after a holiday so we did not get all 18 holes in--we got 14---it was pretty backed up but I guess that was expected. This was the first time we played here and we really loved the course, the price was excellent and the grounds were in very good shape. Will definitely come back and tell our friends about it.
The cousre was very well maintained and the staff was very friendly
The greens were in very good condition. Although there are many trees on the course the leaves did not inhibit your ability to find your golf ball that didn't land in the fairway. I also found out that you can walk this course which seems to be a rarity in NC. Oh the fairways are in very good condition too!
Nice to see green fairways in mid November.
Good shape with more attention to some of the greens. Overall, the greens were consistent.
Green fairways when all other courses in Charlotte are brown
Larkhaven is a good course, not too challenging but it takes some work to keep the ball in the fairway. Several 90 dgree doglegs make this medium length course play longer. This course overseeds the fairways for the fall and winter, making this a green course year round. The greens are improving in November, they had been in pretty rough shape since the summer.
Well Maintained
They have some of the best fairways in the winter months
good layout, great value
Nice traditional layout. Some tough par 4's and some good par 3's. Greens are a little slow but the overseeding is to blame there. Could do a little better job on leaf pick-up. Overall, nice track. Need to keep the ball in the fairway.
AMAZING VALUE!!!
This course was in impeccable condition especially for November. The greens were lush and expertly maintained. The fairways had a beautiful lush blue green look and seemed as if they just cut the grass for our group. Overall this course is by far the best value in Charlotte. A $90.00 course for half that or less if you book through Golfnow. I will definitely be returning to Larkhaven... very soon!
Great Course
One of the few courses the over seed. Greens are shaggy right now but will be PERFECT in a couple of weeks. You need to play before 10:30 on Tuesday and Thursday to get ahead of the mens group
