Baywood Golf Club

Layout is OK, I have played the course a few times over the years. Condition of the course was basically poor, the greens have strange dead rings all over them and doesn't appear they have changed the cups in two months. Still had a good time playing though for a very cold afternoon.

We went the 1st week of March, and were happy to get out. The pace of play was good; we didn't have to wait. The course was seeded, and it hadn't rained, so it was brown everywhere, except the greens.

This was to be expected for the time of year, and you could see they were getting it ready.

I liked it. I would play again.

Had guys walking cross greens while playing had a guy flying a kite,then quit on hole 11 took 3 hours to play 9 holes.

People always say this course needs more work and up keep, sure, it could of been better. But for the low price, this course was amazing! Pace of play was perfect. Challenging and strategic lay out. If you’re looking to get out and enjoy your round without breaking the bank, it’s perfect.

I feel baywood has improved tremendously. It was overlooked by a lot of my friends due to the poor course conditions for the past few years. But.. I played yesterday and they are putting in a lot of time and money to rebuild. The tee boxes were good, greens are 80% good-still needs a little help on 20% if the course fairways are nice. The second cut and rough was too thick but I shouldn’t hit there to begin with right? Overall, for the course was a lot more fun to play and the staff is great.

Only thing I didn’t like then and still don’t like now is the range is in bad shape. But I’m not on the tour so it’s nbd.

The greens are being worked on and number 7 was closed. The tee’s were a little roughy. However, the fairways are in great shape. For the value you pay, Baywood is second to none around the Fayetteville area.

Great layout and for the money just need someone to show this course some FAIRWAY TEE BOX GREENS LOVE

I used to enjoy this course. It’s absolute trash now!!! The putting greens are infested with weeds and have bare sand spots on them. Your ball bounces everywhere no matter what you do. The tee boxes are literally sand and some are even in the fairway. The Greenskeepers decided to drive up on the green and change the pin location while I was literally taking my shot. I was chipping the ball onto the green and they drove up and relocated the pin. No regards for the paying customer that was in the middle of a shot. Absolute worst experience golfing ever. If I could get my money back, I would! Don’t wast your time and money!!!! I would upload images, but the app won’t let me.

Booked on line(prepaid) so was unaware the front nine was closed until I got there. Very disappointed foursome ended up playing the back nine twice because we’d prepaid. Lesson learned
