it was nice...
It was very nice, but no beverage cart service was provided..it. Was 95* on the course.
Outstanding Venue
Arrived about an hour early. Practice range was stocked with balls. Played 18 in 4 hours. The greens were the best I have played. About a 12 on the stemp meter and held your approach shots very well. True rolls on every putt. Sand traps are well maintained and fairways are cut perfectly. Highly recommend a play!!
Course that represents the Low Country
Everything that a course in Savannah should be: wide open fairways, water hazards, majestic oaks w moss & beautifully tall pines surround fairways & greens. One or two greens, w the afternoon shadows of the pines casting over the greens, compare to Augusta National.
Good Day
This was a good course with great employees. I enjoyed it and look forward to next year when I return.
GREAT COURSE
GREAT COURSE. HONESTLY NOT ONE THING NEGATIVE TO SAY ABOUT THIS PLACE. CLOSE TO HOME, EVERYTHING WAS ON POINT. MY FREINDS AND I HAD A GREAT TIME.
Great Coastal Golf
If your looking for a Coastal type course near Savannah don't miss a chance playing here.
would recommend this course to everyone
this course is a old course but a great 1 to play, they have built a new club house and changed the course lay out since the last time i played here but it is a great place to enjoy a day of golf
A-
Great old course super layout quiet, very good staff, nice clubhouse, played with family great time...
fun to play
Nice course, back more fun than the front. very challenging from the tips.
Challenging for the high handicapper
The numerous traps protecting the greens really made me pay for my off-line approach shots. Thankfully, the traps are nicely kept with the sand being soft enough for me to get out very easily.
Only complaint is having to hit off mats at the driving range. Practice balls were plentiful, but for $8, you'd think you could hit off grass. There was no way to tee up on the mats.
Wilmington Island Golf Club
I played this course while on vacation at Tybee Island. I was the first tee time of the day and played alone. Having never seen the course, I found it to be well marked and easy to identify yardages to the front/middle/back of the greens. The greens were in excellent condition and rolled consistently from green to green. Because I was out first, I did run into the maintenance staff on a few holes. They always recognized when I arrived at a tee box or was approaching a green and cleared out of the way so there were no distractions or worries about any wayward shots. The tee box markers clearly identified any hazards on the hole, but did not give yardages to the hazarad. I would definitely play this course again.
Great Ross layout
IN very good condition for spring. Water in play - oops!
Traditional golf course with great greens.
We played the course and were impressed with the overall conditions. The club is well maintained and the greens were rolling great. The staff was super friendly and accomodating.
Winter conditions
Course will be in much better shape in a few weeks once spring warms things up and the Bermuda grass starts growing. It wasn't that bad as played on a very cool day March 14 th.
Great friendly staff.
Fun course to play in a nice setting.
Played in February on a cold day. Condition of fairways was less than ideal but greens were good. If you like an older style course that is straight forward and fun to play this a good selection. Pace of play was very good and course is easily walkable. I would definitely play it again.
Olf fashioned, but in good condition
Although Wilminton is convenient to Tybee Island, I would recommend more distant courses in Savannah. Greens and fairways in good condition. Many holes are alike in distance, layout and difficulty, especially the par 4's.
Great course for the price!
Really enjoyed playing the course. Challenging but fair to a 10-12 handicap player.
A good course at a reasonable fee. Enjoyed very much and will play again.
A good course at a reasonable fee. We will play this course again. The greens had recently been sanded but still played very well.
